Authentic taste, good price especially for weekday lunch time, but I am really annoyed by the service. I always go there along for a quick lunch so ordering two dishes are just enough for me which only cost 5.5 (7.5 after tea and tips). They speak Cantonese which I can understand but I always speak mandarin in response. I don’t know maybe some point in me make them dislike me or something or I’m just overthinking, every time after I ordered, everyone just keep come and ask me do you want this or that...after me saying no they just leave an annoyed face to me and go away. And they are always WAY TOO FAST at taking your “empty” dishes away, which was SUPER ANNOYING. I feel like they only do this to me, maybe punishing me ordering too little or speaks mandarin. Then my roll have no where to rest because it’s too big to eat in one bite. And although they usually are pretty fast at check which I like, today I already put money on the desk and everyone walk pass me and pretend not seeing me. Really arrogant service. Difficult to communicate. And when I was walking in alone, their female manager keeps staring at me like I’m a weirdo. Feel like being discriminated because I wasn’t speaking Cantonese. I was so darn angry with...

Downtown Yummy Restaurant located at 39 East Broadway is a nice Chinese restaurant that serves Cantonese cuisine.
The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor, and the stairs are quite steep. They do have an elevator to accommodate the elderly and the handicap, but you will have to go inside 39 - 41 East Broadway to access the elevator.
The place is neat, clean, tidy and well lite. The staff is friendly, professional and attentive, all with a smile.
The food fresh and properly prepared.
A place i would love to call my home cooked meals...

No one could be found to address the issue and when I was able to get someone’s attention, the woman said in Chinese “that is not my problem, that is the waiters problem”. For someone who works in customer service there’s definitely better ways to respond. When I was finally able to get the waiter to come over she didn’t say anything and just switched the dish. No apology.. NOTHING. Anyways there’s better dim sum restaurants in Chinatown,...
