I came here on May 20 for a birthday party where the hosts had reserved a section. We had two waiters servicing our section, though both drinks I ordered had to be ordered at the bar. The venue itself is gorgeous. While it is not the highest bar in NYC, the views are still incredible and offer great backdrops for all of your pictures. I found the servers to be friendly and nice. There were two different DJs while we were there. The host had told me that she made music requests when she booked Everdene, but asked if I might check in with the DJ as she hadn't heard anything (ironically enough - contrary to what a previous reviewer said - there was no 90s music R&B or otherwise, which is exactly what she'd requested!). I obliged, as it was her birthday, and asked the DJ if he was taking requests. I'm no idiot; I know that DJs do not like taking requests. Keeping that in mind, I was overly polite and sweet, and furthermore did not make any demands. After telling me that I might "have better luck with the 10pm DJ," he did ask what I'd like to hear. I asked if we could meet in the middle with some Donna Summer and he said he would try. When the next DJ(s) (there were two of them, though I saw no hands moving the entire time they were back there) arrived, I asked if they were taking requests in much the same fashion (looking for that earlier aforementioned "luck"). I was quickly met with "We don't have the Spice Girls." Not what I asked! And quite an assumption to make at that. If anyone from Everdene management reads this (LOL), please know how your establishment is being represented by those you bring in to entertain your guests. We were the largest party there (I'd say an average of 20 ppl with minimal guests otherwise - it was terrible weather, so they were a bit dead) and seated right in front of the turntables, so it isn't like we were going to relocate. Besides this genuinely offensive experience, the cocktails were overpriced (see: hotel + Manhattan) (both of mine were $24/piece) but delicious. When I went to the bar to order, however, two of the three bartenders looked like someone had peed in their cornflakes and weren't all that friendly. I don't know that I would in good conscience return...
Read moreJust went to Everdene Bar and wow, this place is gorgeous! The design is seriously on point - really beautiful space that feels both classy and relaxed. They've got both indoor and outdoor seating options, so you can pick whatever vibe you're feeling that day.
The place is super spacious too, which is a nice change from those cramped bars where you're basically sitting on top of strangers. There's actually room to breathe and move around, whether you're posted up at the bar or grabbing a table with friends.
Their cocktail and wine list is decent - nothing too crazy but definitely solid options. The drinks are well made and fairly priced for what you get. They've got good variety so everyone in your group should find something they like.
When I got there at 5:50, there wasn't happy hour.
The service was a bit of a mixed bag. When I first sat at the bar, I got overlooked when this older white guy sat down next to me and the bartender went straight to him even though I'd been waiting. Honestly a little annoying. The guy was actually really cool about it and told the bartender I was there first, which I appreciated.
Once I moved to a table and sat down with friends though, our servers were awesome and really took care of us all night. So maybe just stick to getting a table if you go!
Overall, Everdene is a really beautiful spot with great space and decent drinks. The bar service thing was meh but everything else made up for it. Would...
Read moreI went into Everdene for breakfast today and I have had the most wonderful experience!!!!. I had a waitress named Dawn! Dawn was so polite, upbeat, welcoming. I had a few rations about the menu (I didn’t know what I wants to try, everything sounded so good). Dawn took time to help me through the menu . She mentioned the specials , the most popular dishes and even through in what she enjoyed . She is a woman of such great character. I remember her laughter and he big beautiful smile. After a few moments of found through the menu she took my drink order and the drink was sooooo good. It was an espresso martini but it was one of the best tasting ones I’ve ever had. I also had coffee (brewed to the gawds )!!!! My food came out and boy was I satisfied with it. I had the eggs Benedict and some Belgian waffles. (Both made to perfection). Dawn is such a sweet heart and I hope she excels at everything she does within this industry . I’m going back soon and will pray I get my table in her section! Dawn if you can see this, girl . Thank you for making me feel so welcome and special . You’re a...
