NY Bakery and Desserts NoMad — Restaurant in New York

I called this bakery to find out pricing for various cakes and initially they seemed warm and gave me the info I needed. However, the next day I called to place my order- I couldn’t get through so I had to DM them on instagram until they called me. And then, didn’t seem to care much about my order or what I was asking for and the whole order process was so confusing, I questioned if I should go through with the cake order or not, but the custom cake I ordered seemed really inviting so I decided to give it a shot. Plus I needed to be able to walk the cake over to the restaurant we were in. When I had friends go and pick up the cake for a surprise birthday party, the bakery told them they had no record of the cake and the staff member was so nonchalant about the entire order missing even though I had proof of the order and payment. Eventually they told us they would deliver the cake to the place we were hosting the party, which ALMOST ruined the surprise because they showed up minutes before the birthday boy, and they delivered an ENTIRELY different cake than what I had ordered. I called the restaurant several times and I kept getting sent to a different location, when I finally gave up and asked for a refund. We didn’t even touch the cake because it did not look good. Absolutely the WORST customer service I have ever had the displeasure of working with. Extremely disappointed that the birthday party almost went without a cake if not for an amazing friend who saved the day. Zero stars. Would not give this...

A pretty good bakery to satisfy any cravings that you may have. The prices are a little higher, even for Nomad, but their Dubai chocolate and other chocolates are wonderful and totally worth it. Their baked goods aren’t always the freshest, but still very good in a pinch.

The staff is helpful, and all the times I have gone have been more than happy to help me with anything.

I really enjoyed their photographed displays for their selection, however they recently added a large blowup of an ai-generated lady liberty which is pretty disappointing for a local establishment that is surrounded by a city full of local artists.

From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the gentleman behind the counter whose demeanor gave nothing but all around great guy. For a place we happened to stumble upon on our way out of dinner, we were pleasantly surprised at the variety of options that were not only excellent in quantity, but also in quality. Each meme bet of my family chose a different dessert, but the real treat was when we went up to pay and we’re able to closer interact with Safa.
