The folks who work here are very kind and do a good job at answering all your questions. Their matcha is very good and not too sweet. There's a small baked goods selection and sometimes they even have gluten free options. If you have a pup, they are dog friendly and sometimes have treats! Inside, there isn't many seats, but they kept what they have clean.

Let me just start off by saying this spot is very cozy and quaint. The staff is excellent, Vitalii is very knowledgeable about the products sold in this delightful coffee establishment.

Since this was my first time and didn't know what to order, Vitalii recommended the Cardamom Blend. I have to say that it was onpoint, a delicious cup of coffee. I've been drinking coffee for over 25 years and I have to say this is one of the best cups I've had in a long time.

What also makes this place special is the atmosphere. Being a "Native New Yorker" I'm always in a rush and constantly running around from "Point A to B to C etc.". Green Lane has that vibe where you just want to sit and enjoy a cup.

It is hard for Green Lane to compete with its predecessor Gertrude as it is more expensive, the coffee is slightly worse, and the vibe is not as neighborly. However, Green Lane could be very successful if they lowered prices by even .30-.40 cents and started to create their own vibe in the location. Right now, there is no reason not to just go to Birch an avenue down for cheaper coffee. My fear is that Green Lane will quickly lose Gertrude’s loyal customers. Had a small black drip at 230pm and it was smackin. Parlor Columbia single origin? Single origins on tap? Is that their thing? Take my money if this is true. I originally tried to order a pour over since I wasn’t in a rush but found out they don’t do pour overs, which actually means they are now a morning option for me on the way to the train if I’m in a rush.
