Went to the cafe at 2:20pm on a Monday afternoon. There was a small line and I quickly ordered my coffees, not even matcha. Stepped to the side to wait 5 minutes when one drink came out but 20 minutes went by and my second drink wasn’t ready and people who came in after I ordered already got their drinks. Service started out good but after not tipping the waiters attitude completely shifted, really disgusting behavior. Anyways, as for the drinks don’t believe the hype. Unfortunately the matcha tastes extremely milky and bland. We also tried the matcha muffin and threw it out first bite, it was unfortunately really hard. I live across the street and wanted to love this place. The space has a sordid history that seems cursed. No coffee shop here has made it past a year, and this one doesn’t seem likely to break the streak. My cappuccino was thin and off-putting. My partner’s flat white came without micro-foam and managed to taste both bland and burned. Everything was served in to‑go cups, which would be a deal breaker even if the coffee were good.
