Rosewood Theater — Restaurant in New York

I doubt I'll be back. This place recently opened. It still needs to work out the kinks and doesn't offer anything original for NY. Uninformed and impolite staff at the entrance and bar. The first DJ was awful at mixing beats and transitions. The next two were fine.

The "VIP" advanced ticket line was a joke. Super disorganized.

My group of 7 came in costume for Halloween which got us our first drink free according to their ad. The bar staff kept changing their story/excuses. First it was "ok, house drinks only." After taking our orders and disappearing for a bit, it became "that ended at 11pm" (it was 11:07 and the place was empty). Then she asked us to wait again and another bartender came to say "oh that was Friday not today." I challenged it and she said she needed to see the ad. I pulled it up online and she disappeared again. Finally after the longest wait yet, the first bartender came back and said "we can only do malibu and jameson." Whatever.

I was surprised but fine with the semi-private topless lap dances. Just about every good looking chick in there was a working girl asking if you'd like to "have more fun". I was impressed with the variety of women... tall/petite, thin/thick, racial range, etc. No...

Rosewood Theater is unlike any other place. The set up is completely unique, high class, and an experience that everyone should have. I'm going sappy, but here goes... Rosewood has a special place in my heart. I have crippling anxiety and self esteem has been at about 0% for most of my life. It was December 2022. My therapist recommended a club like this to jump start me. The Rosewood set up was perfect for this because it is somewhat believable. Everyone must experience it. I met and spend time with a girl from I think Haiti but maybe DR. She approached me saying I looked like a guy from Game of Thrones. She had the sexiest tiny gap between her front teeth and was 10/10 in looks and personality. On my way out, she stopped me and said, "You are attractive, nice, and successful. You should be very confident with women." I continued to walk out and cried as I walked back to my hotel. I had never heard that before (more accurately I had never believed it). This really changed my life even if there was 10% truth to it. Things have been different for me since. God Bless this girl and God Bless...

My friends and I were pretty disappointed in the experience. It was not at all what the website and advertisements made it seem like. In the 2.5 hours we were there, we only saw 2 performances. We were left to talk amongst ourselves while looking around the room seeing men approached by women, talk with them for a while before being escorted to a semi private space for a "lap dance" (more like a lap grind by most dancers). We never got approached by any of the "performers" and there were no performances happening consistently anywhere in the space. On our way out we couldn't help but wonder if the women here were even real performers or just random women coming in to give lap dances for money. As a dancer myself, I would have expected this "upscale strip club/ cabaret" or whatever else they call themselves to have a more upscale entertainment environment.
