The overall experience was decent, but a few drawbacks. The moment I entered we were greeted and seated right away. The waitress provided our menus and was super friendly. Upon getting ready to order we were instructed to place an order via a QR code. I didn't have an issue with placing the order from a QR code but I don't enjoy having to download an entire app and having to create a new account to just place an order (I would prefer if they had a website you could order directly off of or an app that could allow you to be a guest). This seemed to take away from the customer experience. When trying to install the app via the QR code I had issues trying to get my phone to load. After a few attempts I realized that this app is only available on the iPhone. Luckily I had my work phone and my fiance iPhone. However, my main phone is my android which I prefer to use. When the employee had informed me that it was an iphone only app I would have preferred to have the employee take our order but instead they stared at us, waiting in hopes we had an iphone to use (which we ended up taking out right away). Upon trying to find spot dessert in the app, we had issues getting the store as the steps were a bit different than what was provided, but the waitress was super nice and helped guide and explain what Apollo ID (the app) had to offer. After placing an order with Apollo ID there was a minimum tip of 20%. I typically do not mind tipping as I normally tip a minimum of 20% (or accordingly to the service). However, I typically do not prefer to tip before the service was provided or forcing a mandatory tip upon customers (without notice or sign). In summary, the food and customer service was great with no issue. However, the overall customer experience seems too lackluster and could be improved with a better app/ordering system.

I want to say that I had the worst experience ever. This place is trash. The employee that served me should be fired. They have the worst policy ever. I went to this place in a business trip Stop by with coworkers. We had company issues credit card and we could pay with separate check if we dine in together. So the next day we asked to get seated separate because we know there pilicy. The girl told us that she knew we dinner together the night before and she would not accommodate us. I asked for a manager she said she was working alone and the only one in charge. She refused to give me her name. When I got visibly upset she told me she refused to serve me so it didn't matter. Rude as hells worst service ever. She didn't want to give me a separate table nor she would accommodate me at all I understand the stupid policy but it's bad for business. When a guest asks to be seated separate you accommodate point blank. This is located next to big corporations. Coworkers don't want to pay together spilt checks and accommodate don't force people to see your stupid policy. Bad business and worst employees.

I’ve been going to Spot for over 12 years across all their NYC locations. Was so excited to see the LIC location finally open over last few years! The desserts are great, and consistent with their other locations. I appreciate the quality doesn’t suffer from expanding. All their desserts are good but standouts for us are: - Milky Puff - Harvest - Golden Toast - seasonal desserts - these are always amazing and delicious! A few years ago they had a summer special, the Watermelon Dacquoise, and I am praying they bring it back!!! In my 12 years as an avid Spot Dessert Bar fan, easily their best menu item. They do seasonal menus often and they keep it crafty and interesting. We follow their IG for updates. Service is fast at this location. The desserts come out efficiently and nearly instantaneously. The only downside is that this location is always SO COLD. I’m shivering here whenever we go, even on hot summer days. They keep the AC running for sure. If you’ve never had Spot, definitely give it a try. You won’t regret. If you’re a loyal fan, this location doesn’t disappoint.
