Five Guys — Restaurant in Norman

Zero stars. Not because of the quality of food or the employees. But I will not be returning to this establishment due to an interaction that I witnessed between a manager and one of her employees. I learned that the manager's name is Jessica. As I was ordering food, a young woman walked up to the counter. After seeing this crude happening, I now know that she is an employee at this location. The woman politely asked to get her paycheck and Jessica snapped, "Turn in your uniform!" The female employee stood there confused. Without explanation, the manager just kept telling her to bring her uniform to the store. The employee said, "I'm not quitting...?" and Jessica rudely kept replying, "Turn in your uniform! You don't get your paycheck until your uniform is here because they're expensive." The young girl turned and left the store without another word. First of all, isn't it illegal to withhold an employee's earned income from them? Secondly, Jessica handled that situation in the poorest possible way and with no basic human empathy. I felt horrible for the employee and will never step foot into this establishment again since they can't afford to give their employees proper uniforms NOR treat them with basic human decency. If the managers can't handle their employee situations properly, how do you expect them to treat customers to Five Guys standards? Which frankly, I now don't believe Five Guys even has standards....

My boyfriend and I attended this location at 5:41pm on August 28th, a friday. I'd been hearing about this place for years and always wanted to give it a try. I work at Qdoba, and heard from one of our regulars that he works at this location right across the street, so we decided to give it try. This was handsdown the best burger i've had in a very long time, maybe even my whole life. I was amazed you could add as many toppings as you want, without upcharging!!! It seemed a little pricey at first, but once we realized that everything was freshly made, cut in-house, and no added preservatives, the price was totally fair. Gavin and Randy were absolutely awesome!! Everyone there was pleasantly nice, and made awesome food, but these two guys really stood out. Randy was patient with us, explaining how things work and excited that it was our first time there. Gavin catered to us too! The manager was also very friendly to everyone that came in. Cooks made incredible food. I can't say enough good things about this place and their crew!! All of em deserve...

Their app said they accepted curbside orders, so I tried to place an order on the app. It wouldn't go through, so I called in my order. They said they couldn't accept credit cards. Not ideal, but I found cash. When I pulled up to the restaurant, I called to let them know I was curbside. They told me they couldn't bring my order out to me even though I was 10 steps away from the front door. I asked why, and they said they stopped doing that since they opened the dining room. I told them the app said they did, and wouldn't they please help me out? I offered to let them keep the change. They refused. I walked in. Zero customers in the restaurant, yet three staffers came out to the register to yell at me for requesting advertised curbside service. I left without my order. This was a bad experience that could have been avoided with a little courtesy.
