We visited this location 2 times before our recent visit and never had a bad meal. Second time there was a mix up with our eggrolls receiving the wrong kind, wasting our money as we do not eat the other kind. Mind you, we live 30 min away and going back for the right item was not an option for us to consider at that point. On our 3rd and what will be our last visit to this location. We arrived at 9:10pm. 50 min. Prior to the posted closing time on the establishment, and posted online closing time. Yet all the chairs were up on the tables. 5 employees were about. One exiting the bathroom looked like they had just finished cleaning, good to know its done... Another mopping the floors. One working the drive thru actually appearing to be serving customers, A cook who wasnt cooking but appeared to be washing the evenings dishes. The only one not doing anything was the rude male who sadly may have been the manager who attempted to help us after my grand daughter finally said hellooo, as any 4vyr old would after waiting for something for a few min... lol kids are great like that.. He finally looked up from his phone while sitting in a booth. We obviously interrupted his leisure time as he drug himself from his booth to behind the counter. Plastered a very fake smile on his face which showed kore annoyance then actual happiness and asked what he could help us with tonight. I started to give him our order. A bigger plate all fried rice all 3 sides beijing beef. He scooped out the remaining rice left in the bowl, and all the remainjng beef in its bowl and proceeded to inform me that there were only 2 side servings of beef left. Would i like something else to replace the third. At this point i was looking at him like he was nuts. I have visited this chain in 5 states and never been told they were out of anything. Ive been told they needed to cook some more and would i like to wait on that item or choose another. But never out. But he was dead serious. 50 min to closing 1 remaining serving of fried rice and 1 beef was all he had left. I observed cars in the drive thru when i walked in. Were they being denied as well? I then asked him, as he had just used the last of the fried rice if they would be cooking more as i had 4 remaining family members order to go that needed filled that required fried rice. He inturn informed me that no... They would not be cooking anything new. What he had out was what remained to be sold. Would i like to pick something else as my third item. I asked him what he intended to provide instead of the now empty fried rice bowl? My option was white rice. No noodles, no fried rice. Yes, that right¹. He refused to replenish empty menu items 50 min untill closing. With a straight face no less, and had the nerve to act like i was asking to much of this establishment to actually provide the food advertised for sale 50 min prior to closing. Or god forbid hin do what they hired him to do and provide a service to their customers. No attempt to even see if cooking a new batch would be enough for all my orders. There for providing excellent service to their customers. Nope. He didn't bother to ask how many servings i would need to complete my remaining orders. Nothing. Just a no. We won't be cooking anything more tonight. Would i like any of the remaining dishes. Lol at this point i was laughing at what i was now considering this location and chains, Not to mention a complete failure in the customer service industry, which I have personally managed for various retail locations for almost 30 yrs. Ive seen alot.. n this guy takes the cake. The entitlement and arrogance oozing from him during our exchange was unbelievable. N has resulted in the loss of customers. We will not recommend this location to anyone nor be visiting it again. We will...
Read morehi my name is jacobie Thompson; I was on vacation in Charleston south Carolina. I currently reside in Clarksville, TN and unfortunately the closest panda express is in Nashville. my wife and I don't have the luxury of always being able to go there but when we do I always get panda. I am originally from Lafayette, IN and used to work at the panda express in the Tippecanoe mall so I know how opening the store and working with customers go. ive been to plenty of pandas but this was by far the worst experience ever! It was a sunday morning, right before my wife and I were leaving SC and she knew and I wanted to get panda before we left. we checked online and saw that the store opened at 11 and we got there right at 11. It just so happened that they didn't open til 11:05 and when we walked in I had noticed that more than half entrees weren't out and the registers weren't ready either. The manager, Rico I believe, didn't even say good morning or anything, he just kept walking around and was doing I don't know what. The cook was complaining about not having enough vegetables cut and not being able to cook everything and needing help. She seemed very irritated that people were walking into the store wanting panda express. it was very rude and not appreciated. one of the things I love about panda is the teriyaki (or the mandarin) sauce, it is my all time favorite thing to add to my meal. when I had asked about it I was told that there was none even prepped and that it could take awhile to be put together and cooked. I ended up buying the mandarin sauce bottle but I was so mad at the fact that a manager let their store be closed and open without having all the proper necessities done. The entire time my wife and I stood waiting for out food and paying for it he said not one word!! not even a "Hi how are yal doing" as a manager I thought maybe he'd show more appreciation to his customers and at least apologize to me about the sauce but it looked like he didn't care and that he just didn't want to be there as much as the cook. if im ever in Charleston again I will never ever visit that panda express! it was also very saddening to have such a horrible experience since ive worked for the company myself. I hate to have to write such a horrible review as well but I believe that something needs to be done there so that no one else has to go through such a rude and horrible experience that I did. I will always love panda express, I promise that will change because the food is simply amazing but as for that store.....NO!!! never again, it either needs new management or...
Read moreI will NEVER dine here again. It was the first and last time. I ordered online (two bowls and an order of shrimp) and went through the drive-thru to pick it up. I notified the guy (Jimmi) at the window that I was there and he said the order isn’t ready yet. That was all. So I probed and asked about a pick up area and he said either drive-thru or inside. Inside was not an option for me since I had my toddler sleeping in the car. It was 6:21pm and my order was suppose to be ready by 6:26pm. So I drove up and sat at the window. I waited there for 4 minutes before the guy came to the window. He told me my order was ($40 something dollars). I informed him again that I ordered online and that it was suppose to be ready at 6:26pm which was 6:25 at this time. He says I told you that your order wasn’t ready. I said well it’s time for my pick up now and that was 4-5 minutes ago that you said that. He says well it’s still not ready so you can come inside or go back through the drive thru. At this point the drive thru was wrapped around the back of the building and I didn’t have the option to come inside. I informed him there was no way I was going back in that drive-thru line and he told me that they were backed up and busy and stood there and stared at me instead of going to get my food (as if I was the problem or not a paying customer that order was suppose to already be ready) He told me he only worked drive thru not online!! how long does it take to throw some beef and broccoli and chicken and chow mein in a bowl?! So I didn’t leave the window until my food came. Yea their logistics is trash which is why their lines are long and the workers just don’t want to be there. The girl who brought my food after the jerk walked away didn’t even look happy. I’m calling the manager tomorrow and contacting corporate because clearly I’m not the first customer to experience such horrendous customer service...
