Learn moreShort Review - delicious and unique food, great ambiance, friendly staff and above all great customer service with big smiles.
During our visit to Pittsburgh this week, my family and I found Tikka N Wrapz, an Indian restaurant that turned out to be a delightful discovery. From the moment we walked in, the friendly staff made us feel welcomed and explained the ordering process with genuine smiles.
Anu, the owner, went above and beyond by recommending their best-selling dish, "Naandilla," when my younger son was thinking to order the Chicken Tikka Wrap. Following her suggestion, we each ordered different main dishes and refreshing drinks, such as the flavorful mango lassi and refreshing mint lemonade.
The dessert choices—royal falooda and paan kulfi were excellent too. As soon as my son took the first bite of his Naandilla, he couldn't help but exclaim, "Dad, you have to try this, it's so tasty!" This excitement resonated with all of us, making the dining experience truly memorable.
Tikka N Wrapz not only boasts delicious and unique food but also creates a great ambiance. The staff's friendliness and Anu's personal touch contribute to an atmosphere that goes beyond just a meal. I highly recommend indulging in their Naandilla, royal falooda, and paan kulfi that exceeds expectations.
And one more thing - as you head to the restrooms, take a moment to admire the charming paintings on the wall, skillfully created by the restaurant owner's talented daughters. Their artistic touch adds a unique and pleasing element to the overall ambiance, making the experience not just a visit to the restroom but a brief immersion into an art gallery within...
Read moreI was planning my daughter's first birthday party in a Bollywood theme and wanted to have Indian style street food for the lunch menu. I immediately thought of Tikka 'N' Wrapz - it's nearby, it's halal and most of all, it has amazing reviews. I called and talked to Deepak, the owner, and he requested that I come to the restaurant to try out the food to taste what I like for my menu. I took my mom, who is an Indian food expert, and we both loved everything we tried. We ate a chicken tikka and paneer naandilla, veg hakka noodles, chicken 65, aloo tikki chaat, gajar halwa and also masala chai. Most of that is off of the menu, but he said that he can make literally anything that I asked for. We came up with a menu and Deepak even threw in some complimentary papad and raita. I also met his wife Anu, who is wonderful.
The food on the day of the event was PHENOMENAL! Everyone (desi guests, non desi guests, kids, adults) all loved the food, the menu I chose and the spice level. It was perfect for a Sunday lunch and not too heavy. Deepak came personally to set up at the venue and he even let us borrow his chafer stand and chai dispenser. He also made table signs for each menu item. He didn't hesitate once on letting me borrow it and didn't pester me on when he needed it all back.
Overall, I had an absolutely amazing experience with Tikka 'N' Wrapz. Customer service exceeds price or anything else. He just wanted me and my guests to enjoy the food, be comfortable and not have to worry about a single thing - and that's exactly what happened!
I will continue to use them for catering, no matter the size of the event. Deepak and Anu - you guys...

Delicious food. I had a pick your options bowl with grilled paneer and a smoky tikka masala sauce. Plenty of proteins including lamb and egg. Dal makhani and tadka. All of these can be made into a burrito. Appetizers include chaats, samosas, and I thought I saw pakoras. Toppings for your food include cilantro, diced veg like tomatoes, and pickled red onions. Plenty of tamarind and mint-cilantro chutney along with pickle
Drinks include Coke fountain drinks, bottled products, and mango lassi.
But, let's talk about dessert (which includes ras malai). FALOODA!!! I always have trouble finding it in restaurants. They have it, and it's so good. It is the ultimate Drink With Solids! Start with a rose-flavored milky base. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream, top with almonds, and you have some serious Drink With Solids goodness. But wait, there's more! Add in some dried fruit too. Great, keep it coming! Okay, it does. Let's add some vermicelli. Cool! That's it, right? Umm no. Let's put some small crunchy seeds in there with a jelly coating. Then finish with a rose drizzle.
If you weren't raised with it, it sounds so over the top and strange. But... It works so well together. Get your spoon and straw out and dive in. The textures are so much fun. For me, it was worth the $6.99. Boba tea has nothing on falooda. Hands down the king of the hill for Drinks With Solids.
