How does this place have such high reviews? We went here for breakfast and it was awful! I’ll start with the positive. The orange juice was delicious. We had a party of eight so we tried just about everything on their small and unimaginative menu. I had the avocado toast and it was certainly meh. The bread wasn’t substantial enough to support the mashed avocado and poached egg. They used a basic, sliced multigrain sandwich bread which quickly became soggy. They used similar sandwich bread for the French toast—which is fine when you’re making French toast at home, but at a restaurant that is this highly rated one would expect something special. The person who ordered it added strawberries which amounted to maybe four sliced berries for three bucks. I ordered the fruit bowl and the banana it contained was bruised and overripe. The worst part of the whole meal was the home fries. They were barely browned and cold. A note on the atmosphere. They were selling crap galore which was extremely distracting to the children in our group. Two stars is a fair judgement of this place....

The wait for food was also crazy because they are understaffed at the moment, BUT(!) they told us about the wait ahead of time, they checked in frequently and were apologetic, the shopping isles kept our kids busy while we waited, and the food was THE BEST MEAL I’VE HAD IN MONTHS. I got the shrimp kabobs and added on a crab cake. Everything was perfectly cooked, the vegetables were perfectly crisp, and the crab cake crumbled on the fork (you know what that means—no filler!). I paid $37 for my meal and it was 100% worth every penny. I HIGHLY recommend this place!!! This wasn’t a menu item per se, my crab cake add-on was an extra $10, so the entrees are in the mid-$20s. My friend got the shrimp tacos ($15) and was also highly...

Wife ordered Shrimp Burrito with mango salsa and avocado. I ordered the Beach Patrol Burger with cheese and Taylor Pork Roll on grilled brioche bun!! WHAT A GREAT SURPRISE!!! Food was terrific and both came with generous order of fries!! Our observations: conveniently located on Ocean City Boardwalk; great variety in menu options available for families; great value!!!! Restaurant offers breakfasts as well, plus world-famous coconut macaroons, an extensive ice cream menu … and an abundance of toys and novelties for kids of all ages!!! And our water, David, could not have been more pleasant and accommodating!! Give ‘em a try. You’ll be...
