My husband is a steak connoisseur so we like to try a highly recommended steakhouse in every place we visit. He ultimately gave Mahogany steakhouse a 7/10. My Salmon was some of the best salmon we’ve had. Even though they open at 4, they only sell appetizers until 5. Definitely recommend having a reservation. The manager Tio was amazing!! #MahoganySteakhouse #Oklahoma #Steakhouse #TravelingFamily

Edit* I left one of my previous reviews still below as this Is how i used to feel. However unfortunately it seems Mohoganys has gone downhill dramatically from were it once was.

Current visit* Went to Mohoganys to pickup food for a party last saturday night. Placed the order at 5pm for a 6:45pm pickup. When we arrived the food was not ready until almost an hour late which things just got worse and worse from there.

30 minutes after we were supposed to have picked up the food (while we just had to wait outside for it the entire time) a manager comes out to finally tell us that they ran out of the steaks we had ordered which was 4 medium ribeyes. So we had to pick something different to which we did. Another 30 minutes goes by making it about an hour late, and we finally got the food and rushed off to our destination.

However, once we got into the food, we soon realized many of the items different sides that we had ordered and paid for were not in the order at all. We were missing mac & cheese. We were also missing an order of corn plus the Caesar salad had blue cheese dressing on it, but then the final kicker was that two out of the four steaks that we had ordered medium on all of them were raw. Not medium, like we ordered not even remotely medium rare they were just raw they barely had a sear on the outside even.

I’ve been to mahogany at this point well over 100 times maybe even over 200 never had anything but good things to say so I called up with the management and let them know. They apologized and said somebody would reach out most likely on Monday so I waited for their call, which never came. A week later on Friday I decided to call them to hopefully inform them of this less than stellar experience, which is the only time I’ve had anything but exceptional service at Mahogany i might add. I spoke to a manager briefly and he asked if I could hold on so that he could go to the office and pick up the call there. I told him that would be fine. Proceeded to wait for about 15 minutes on hold until finally somebody picked up the phone and immediately hung it up.

I’m not somebody disgruntled at mahogany’s as you can see from my previous review. In my opinion it used to be the absolute best restaurant in the entire state of all of Oklahoma however, something has changed there. I’m very disappointed and given this experience, I would see no reason to recommend it to anybody or go back.

Old review* If you want the best food in Oklahoma, especially steak or higher end food look no further than Mohoganys.

Perfectly cooked steak every time with great prime beef. Their house salad is a real treat pretty much every single side you can order there is delicious. I really enjoy there French onion soup, and a lot of my friends seem to love the lobster bisque.

Atmosphere is great for a nice dinner with friends, a business meeting, or a date. This is the best restaurant...

This was a father's day dinner celebration. A lovely atmosphere. The staff was attentive to a high degree throughout the meal. Destiny our server took care of every want or need. Steven was also assigned to our table, but Destiny took such good care of us, I think he only had to refill our wine glasses once. My husband and I shared a lovely Albert Bichot Bourgogne that paired beautifully with our steaks, and especially with the reduction on my filet tips and mushrooms. The requisite bread course was basic, but the individual whipped butter cups were a nice touch. We had and shared the Ahi tuna appetizer which was exceptional. The wasabi was fantastic and quite fresh and strong. There was ample pickled ginger to go with. I loved that it was served with a lightly dressed salad for added crunch. I got the roasted beet salad, and the filet tips that came with whipped chive potatoes. The others got filets, salmon, and hubs got the filet oscar and a house salad. We shared sides of asparagus, mushrooms, and additional chive whipped potatoes. There was an offer of broccolini, but it was unfortunately already sold out. The steaks were cooked perfectly, very tender. Hubs complaint was that his house salad was large and served in a too-small bowl so he had to pile some on a side plate to make room to mix and eat without spillage. My only complaint was that my filet tips with mushrooms and the potatoes were served in a high-sided bowl rather than on a plate, which made cutting into smaller bites impossible. The reduction was superb. Everyone else seemed very happy with their food. We had a very lovely dinner, and I'd wager it's the best steakhouse in the area. I believe Destiny said the steaks were all corn-fed and finished, but I'm not 100% certain. Not necessarily a fan of artificially fed cattle, but they were very tender and quite delicious. They had many off menu specials that sounded very tempting. I had a lovey 10 year tawny port for dessert while others had cappuccinos which looked very well made. Not a cheap place by any stretch, but I have certainly paid more for similar. The real cap to the evening was as we were leaving. I thought I recognized a man, and at first thought it was someone I had gone to school with. Then that lazy neuron fired and I realized it was Cuba Gooding Jr. at the table by the door. I (difficult as it was) did not say anything or disrupt his meal and group. I did however fangirl SO hard outside waiting for the car! One of my all-time favourite actors! So it would appear this is the restaurant of choice if looking to impress. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a lovely meal and certainly for a special occasion...

Thank you to the staff at Mahogany Steakhouse for making our night. We traveled to OKC for an early anniversary getaway weekend and made reservations at a restaurant to celebrate. After 10 minutes at our table with no water or service, we grabbed our phones and searched for steakhouses near our hotel. Mahogany popped up, and we perused their menu. The menu looked wonderful, so we called to see if they could squeeze us onto their reservation list. We'd already waited 15 minutes at our current location, and we were happy to make the journey to Mahogany to give them a try. The staff at the front desk was fantastic. Not only did they squeeze us in, but they found us an empty booth to enjoy a quiet-ish dinner together.

The only reason I didn't give this restaurant 5 stars was for a couple of hiccups. We told our server what type of wine we wanted, and his recommendation was way off. That was our mistake as we should've asked for a Sommelier but held off as he sounded like he knew his wine. The server did not. To his credit, he did offer to take the wine back and open something else we might like. We kept the wine as it was good, even if it wasn't what we ordered. I will never send back a good bottle of wine, even if it isn't exactly what we wanted. The other negative thing was my wife's crab cakes, which looked overcooked and extremely odd. She sent them back and got their dynamite shrimp, which she loved.

I ordered the 8 oz. filet and au gratin potatoes to share, and my wife ordered a baked potato and carrots. Everything else we received (besides the crab cakes) was incredible. We've eaten at some fantastic steakhouses such as Mastro's, Capitol Grille, Ruth's Chris, Morton's, 801 Chophouse, and countless others, and we've found that most of them screw up the cooking of the steaks more than they get it correct. It's a weird thing that it continuously happens at high-end steakhouses. We don't eat rare steaks; I order mine medium or medium well. Most of the time, the steaks come out rare or dead. Our last trip to 801 Chophouse in Kansas City was the worst restaurant experience we've ever had, and we were hosting a private party for a couple's 50th anniversary. I WISH we had a Mahogany Steakhouse in Kansas City, as it would've been my first choice. My steak was cooked perfectly for this night, and you could cut it with a fork.

Overall the experience was 4.5/5.0 stars, but Google won't let me leave half ratings. The next time we are in OKC, we will make a trip to Mahogany. We look forward to visiting them again soon, and the value of the food and experience is perfect. Great staff, great food, and great service. Thank you for a wonderful night,...
