In the end, Justin the manager, was a complete joke. My family of 4 women and 4 kids came in to celebrate my early 30th and St. Patty's Day. The place was packed and the line was out the door plus they had good reviews so we wanted to check it out. We finally got to the counter and ordered our food and drinks after a 40 minute wait in line. My sister and I ordered 2 St. Patty's Day shots and 3 beers from Cashier1. We paid for everything and sat down at a table we picked. After eating and talking for a while, we wanted to order a fishbowl for the four of us to share. Cashier2 told my sister that she'd need to see all four of our IDs. My mom and sister didn't have their IDs. We are 48, 32, 29, and 25 years old. I told my little sister I'd go see what was going on. Cashier2 told me the same thing she told my sister and I asked to speak with someone who I COULD order a drink from. Cashier2 briefs the manager, Justin, and he meets me at the counter. I explain to him my sister and Mom did not have their IDs with them and he told me their policy was to not serve anyone who didn't have an ID. I told him Cashier1 sold us all kinds of alcohol when we first ordered our food and asked no one for an ID. Justin said he'd talk with Cashier1 later about policy, but he still couldn't serve us alcohol without ID. I had my closed passport out where he could see it on the counter ready to prove my age. I asked him what age a person has to look for them to be ID'd. He said under 40. I said my mother is 48 so can her and I have a drink. He said well now that I know she doesn't have an ID, I can't serve her a drink. I said you just told me you only ask for IDs from people who look under 40. Her having her ID has nothing to do with the age she looks. I told him he could go look at our table and see my mom was no where close to under 21. He wouldn't go to the table. He said I'm sorry I just can't do it. He said they get sting operations and they just need to be careful I said ok well can I order a drink for myself. He said yes what would you like. I said a margarita. He rang me up and as I was signing for a tip, I said "You didn't ask to see my ID." His face turned red and he said he just assumed Cashier2 looked at it. I said no she didn't. And you STILL haven't asked to see my ID. He said well I can see your passport. I said ok well you can't see through it can you? I had the drink in my hand at this point. I walked back to the table never showing anyone my ID. I was frustrated by Justin, the manager arbitrarily choosing rules he wanted to follow. But I assume he figured since he already told me no and his staff were watching him, he stuck to his choice. If there were a sting operation in place he wouldn't be standing in that side of the counter for long. The ID checks are to be expected anywhere in the US, but I've never seen someone ask for an ID AFTER they'd been served alcohol. And if there is any person who works for Fuzzy Tacos, take a look at the camera footage. Not 1 of us was ID'd and we were served 6 drinks. The food tasted good and the kids were happy, but they really need to get their rules...
Read moreI work close by and after reviewing their menu online I decided to go with the Fajita steak nachos. I walked over and my order was done very quickly which I like because I have limited time. When I sat down to eat, I was pretty disappointed. My order consisted of what appeared to be 3-4 large handfuls of tortilla chips that had a sparse amount of the nacho ingredients, (cheese, veggie garnish and a little steak.) Based off the picture on the website and my co-workers experiences there i thought surely they would remake my order to close to satisfactory standards. Instead, when I called and spoke to manager Jarret I was rudely informed that often times the ingredients in to-go orders don't get to settle and so they appear to have less food. I explained that there was nothing to settle, they simply weren't there and he was unconcerned and thanked me for my business, completely unwilling to take any ownership. I waited a bit and called him back, explaining that This was my first time to eat there and that they were highly recommend by my coworkers, and that I was pretty upset to basically be blown off and told I was out of luck, was there any thing he could do to resolve this matter and he point blank told me no, i got what i got and that was it
Today, my co-worker ordered the exact same thing, he had so many ingredients that it would have been enough for his and mine together.
I will never return to this location again. Jarrett does not care about his guests or have even a basic understanding of customer service skills. It concerns me that a food service provider would allow someone like that to represent...
Read moreI have a couple things to mention on this place.
First, the food.. I’m hoping this was a one time thing, but here it goes. I ordered the shrimp salad. It smelled funny and the shrimp appeared really over-cooked. The first bite I had, the shrimp appeared more pink, but still over cooked. The second bite, I had to spit out. The muesli-like texture was enough to gross me out, and the taste was very unpleasant. My guess, along with the others in my dinner party, was that it was outdated or had been left out. My hope is that they didn’t over-cook it to disguise the bad shrimp and that instead, it was a mistake.
I’m giving this place 3-stars because two of the four people in my party really enjoyed their food.
Finally, the space has the most unusual layout that creates crowds of people by the door waiting while others stand in line to order their food. The soda fountain is next to the register, which creates more chaos by the door, and if you’re seated at the far end of the restaurant, it’s difficult to get through, because there are no walkways. You have to walk around tables. It’s a...
