Gulf Coast Burger Co. — Restaurant in Panama City Beach

Quality has definitely gone down in the last three years I've been visiting Gulf Coast Burger Co. Our first few visits were so good, I reached out to the managers to write an article for Emerald Coast Magazine. I could not get in touch with a manager for more than a few seconds, but after my visit last night I would never have considered publishing a positive review.

The burgers are definitely frozen now. I asked our server who said she had been a manager and has been with the company for 8 years now. She said they were not frozen, but then said she wasn't sure and could check with the kitchen. I told her not to bother with it, between the perfectly circular shape and the driest patty I have ever ingested, there is no doubt these were frozen. It's such a disappointment because the burgers used to easily be the best in town.

I got the mushroom and swiss burger with grilled onions. For a $13 burger, the mushrooms were from a can and slapped on without any additional effort. The grilled onions were slimy and weird; can grilled onions come from a can?

There is a special at time of writing to include a free ice cream cone with your meal purchase. Management should consider that if they need to offer free ice cream to entice customers, the food may not be worth visiting for.

All in all, the prices are outrageous for the hideous quality in food. My family and I will not be returning. This is a classic case of a restaurant that can afford to fail because of an endless supply of unsuspecting tourists that will fall victim to past reviews and a 4.4 star rating, keeping the business afloat with Summer sales, and becoming a sad...

Hello , my family came to gulf coast as soon as we got into town , we came for an amazing vacation and were really hungry for a burger . We read great reviews on this gulf coast burgers We decided to go . When we got in , we was immediately seated , that’s when the worst service started . We had our order taken appetizer was brought out in a timely manner ,food was very very plane our waiter only came to the table three times the whole time we was there , one when we walked in one to bring the appetizer and one for the food . We asked for cold beers and our waiter ignored us completely we had to get up and go to the bar to get our own hot beer they were serving “because our waiter literally stood and talked to another family for over ten minutes while mine was waiting he never came . . This made the environment with my family very rough , we argued about the service at the table , then when we pull the manager over because the service was terrible we asked for a discount . They refused and HE WALKED AWAY!! We as a family paid over $150 and it was the WORST experience DO NOT go here we are $150 out of pocket when we could have taken our money to some place else that really treated us like they care we could have enjoyed another great restaurant for how we got treated there . We paid the bill and left without providing tips . We deserve a refund , and the manager and employees need trained better to handle customer and waiter issues . Very unprofessional. We come here every time we are in PCB. The burgers are great. I decided to try the Mac Attack burger for some reason, lol, and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. It's a cheeseburger with cheddar cheese, macaroni and cheese, and bacon bits. I figured the mac and cheese would overpower the burger and be sloppy but it didn't at all. The flavors of the cheddar and bacon bits with tge mac and cheese made for a great bite every time. I may order it again sometime. Service: our server was great and that's why I gave the service here five stars. However, the hostess needs to do better. She did her job in that she showed us our table, but she didn't say a word to us. She walked us to the table, tossed the menus in a pile, and walked off before we could get to the table. Not a very welcoming gesture. Usually, hostesses walk you to the table, wait for you to be seated, hand you the menu, and say something like, "enjoy your meal," before they disappear. A minor detail in the grand scheme of things but it does affect the dining experience. Fortunately, our server was great and that's more important.
