Tasty but overpriced. Without knowing quite what to expect, we picked the top rated restaurant in Park City. The food was good and the service was friendly, but not that good. For $100 we were hoping for superb.
None of the entrees come with sides, so when you see a steak for $50 you think it must be something extraordinary. Sides are $10 each. Stake with potatoes and asparagus. $70. In capital reef we both had an amazing stake that came with sides for about $35 each. I left hungry after spending $100.
We asked for medium well and what we got was definitely medium rare. We had planned on splitting the steak so my wife ate the outer edge pieces and I ate the inner (more rare) parts.
Sushi. You can pick any roll you like and pick which meat goes in it. That's a nice touch. No tempura. My wife wants to try sushi, but wants to ease her way in. No go here. I enjoyed the roll and felt it was fairly priced for the quality and portions.
The atmosphere. We were lead outside, which was kind of a fun surprise. To get there, we were lead through a narrow hallway that smelled like restaurant dishwashers.
When we were done, someone quickly cleared our plates. However, it took another 20 minutes before we got our check. By the time we left we were naming steak houses we'd been to that were better, less money and closer to home. tepanyaki outback...

Stumbled on the this place by accidentally meeting the Executive Chef Scott. Our first visit was so good we came back the following weekend and will now return anytime we are here. The first time I got two beautiful sushi rolls that were really good, but I was so jealous of my wife's beautiful fillet mignon that I had to come back to get it the second time. Hands down one of the best most tender steaks we have ever had. It was cooked perfectly and just melted in your mouth. Scott greeted us personally and made off menu caprese with tomatoes from his own garden for us. The second time we got their amazing wedge salad. They have their own take on it and their blue cheese is incredible. Great wine list and a full bar. Erin took great care of us and guided us through the menu. Make sure to wander around and check out their bar area. They have a nice bar and patio in the back. And, above all else get the beignets for dessert. Even if you don't normally eat dessert like us - get them. They are amazing!
A couple of people have complained that it was very busy during prime time. Do you really want to go to the restaurant that's empty during prime time? Is that really...
Read moreWe were not really happy with our experience. We went to Lespri to celebrate my parents' anniversary. It's our first time at this restaurant. We made reservations through Open Table. A guy called about a week ago to confirm our reservation; got another call the day of our reservation for another confirmation. About 45mins before our reservation, I got a call from them asking if it's okay to move our reservation (from 6:45 to 7:15pm). I asked the lady why they need to do that, she did not say anything. We agreed to just move our time to 7pm, had to wait for about an hour for our food. There were mixed ups with the orders. We asked for a few things, did not get them right away (had to follow up with them), and we asked for something that never got to the table but we were charged for it (good thing I checked the bill first before paying). Our family was celebrating that night, did not want to ruin it entirely, so we did not bother to talk to a manager and just wanted to leave. We can understand if the restaurant is having a rough night, but overall it wasn't a really...
