Discovered this bakery a month ago waiting on my husband to have surgery. We live four hours away and wished we had something like this close. We were super impressed with the croissants and tarts. Fast forward to a month later when hubby had another emergency surgery. We called to get a bday cake for our son because we were now going to miss his 18th bday and wanted him to feel special as soon as we got home. We got the chocolate sprinkle surprise cake and when I say it was amazing that is not an exaggeration. Then when we saw how big the cake was for such an inexpensive price, we were even more in aww and happier than ever. The day I was to pick it up, on our way to home four hours away, they had some staffing issues and werenât able to open up. When I explained I just needed to get my sons bday cake the man trying to fix everything was super cool and got our cake ready to go. It was hugely appreciated on our end as we needed to get home before the next storm hit. We will make sure this is a stop any time we are near SLC as the bit of a drive out of the way is worth it. The cake was chocolate with the best frosting I e ever had and when our son cut into it, it dumped out sprinkles. The whole middle was filled with sprinkles! It was so cool!! Definitely try this bakery if you are in Park City. You...
Read moreOrdered a 1/2 sheet veggie lasagna and a small cake for my dinner for 8. The lasagna stated it would serve 9 people; however, it was large enough to serve 12 people (in my opinion). This was not a problem for me as I froze the leftover lasagna. The same can be said for the delicious red velvet cake. 8 people enjoyed only 1/3 of the cake with 2/3 of the cake going into the freezer. (the small cake is huge but delicious) People in Park City don't eat big portions - so just factor that in when you are ordering a small lasagna or a small cake - as the stated portion sizes on the website are too generous. A tip for serving the lasagna: I thought picking up a hot lasagna to serve 2 hours later was best but I would do it differently next time. Why? Because the lasagna was difficult to serve (it fell apart when trying to scoop it out of the pan). I cut it into lovely squares and let it cool before serving but the roasted veggies just fell out all over the pan. Oh well, the lasagna smelled and tasted GREAT and everyone loved it. Next time I order a small lasagna, I will pick it up a day ahead, keep it in the refrigerator for a day (to "bind" it together) and then I will reheat it the day of event. Hope this...
Read moreI was excited to place an order for a birthday cake to be picked up in 3 weeks from today, well after Thanksgiving, and was told that they could not make one tiny 8" cake for me even with that much notice...
The reason this is upsetting is that the first person I spoke to said that the pick up date (12/5) was plenty of time for them to recover after the Thanksgiving holiday. But then, I was handed off to a different person mid-conversation who told me that they were too busy during the holidays to do it. Seriously?!? The order was for ONE 8" cake that is 11 days after Thanksgiving and 20 days before Christmas!
You charge $50 for an 8" cake and don't have the ability to make ONE of them for a birthday that is 3 weeks away? A majority of what you sell is cake!!!
You seriously have so many cakes to delivery IN BETWEEN Thanksgiving and Christmas that you cannot make ONE more 8" cake even with 3 weeks notice? This is absurd.
There might be a response below saying, "we understand your concern, thank you for your feedback, etc. etc." but please save your fingers...
