As a recent transplant to this vibrant city, I can't help but express my sheer delight in discovering Tallulah's for my takeout needs. This culinary haven has quickly become my go-to destination for a mouthwatering experience that I can enjoy in the comfort of my own home.

Tallulah's commitment to delivering daily fresh and perfectly presented food shines through, even in their takeout offerings. From the moment I place my order to the moment I open the carefully packaged containers, I am greeted with an array of tantalizing aromas that promise an extraordinary dining experience.

The menu at Tallulah's is a testament to their culinary prowess, with a diverse selection of dishes that cater to various tastes and preferences. Whether you're in the mood for a comforting classic or eager to explore innovative flavor combinations, Tallulah's has a dish to satisfy every craving. The chefs' dedication to culinary excellence is evident in every bite, leaving you wanting more with each mouthful.

What truly sets Tallulah's apart is their seamless transition from dine-in to takeout. The staff's attention to detail ensures that your order is accurate and ready for pickup at the designated time. The packaging is not only practical but also aesthetically pleasing, reflecting the restaurant's commitment to delivering an exceptional experience from...

Got the pear and (provolone?) grilled cheese, which was quite good. However, I have to give 3 stars because when you walk in, while the décor is nice, it is really confusing to figure out where to go. There's a counter immediately when you enter, but that's just for coffee and pastries. Go up the stairs on your right and there's another counter where you order food. But wait, where's the menu? There isn't one - you need to browse the pre-made salads and sandwiches in the fridge nearby, or the fresher sandwiches, pastas, and salads right next to the register. Me and my lunch group found ourselves walking in circles trying to figure out all there was to order. When we did finally order and pay, there wasn't any real way for them to know what table to deliver the food to once they warmed it up. While I received my food right away, others got their food from a seemingly confused kitchen staff member, who was looking around the room hoping for someone to recognize their food and call him over. And on top of that, some received pickles with their sandwich, and others didn't, despite it being identical orders.

BONUS: Check-in here on Yelp and get a free cookie! They are REALLY good.

So in summary - yummy food, but a poor experience...

We originally went here because the google reviews were so favorable. We, unfortunately, are at Wills Eye Hospital a lot lately, so are making an adventure out of the appointments by trying new and fun places to eat, and sharing the experiences with our friends. It is a very cute place. We enjoy 50% of the items, 50% of them are not our faves, but that's just us. The turkey and slaw-yum. The vegan rice pudding-absolutely fabulous. During the week, the barista who makes my coffee-she's awesome and kind. Nate-on the other hand-needs classes on courtesy, as well as how to make coffee. He was outright rude because we wanted a larger cup for our iced expresso so we could walk with it and add a splash of milk. Simply turned his back and never gave us a larger cup. And the chai tasted like cinnamon flavored water. I can make a better chai, but that defeats the purpose of an outing. Dependent upon who is the barista at Talula's will now determine whether or not I will be getting my daily coffee at Talula's. If Nate is the barista-the answer will be a flat out "no". Why have someone work with the public who...

Super convenient location on Washington square park. Some super creamy Mac and Cheese and a great Cuban sandwich. Kinda busy inside but sitting at the park is always a vibe tbh. Sister restaurant of Talula’s garden (which I gave a 10.0 on beli) so this stuff is gooood. Cookie was mid tho. #philly #lunch

What a magical little place. You might as well go downstairs into your nana's kitchen. Buy a drink, like the austin - a lavender green tea latte that, at the risk of sounding cliche is in a word: divine. Or buy some food like a tomatoe, avocado, grilled cheese with a side of brussel sprouts. The server uses a piece of wax paper to pick up the sandwich, heats it if you want, then brings it to you on a plate cut in half diagonally, the only true sign any human cares for another. Take your time to enjoy, linger. Pick up some lovely cheeses or ready made things for home. Notice all the quaint details like the little upcycled glass bottles they use for fresh cut flowers and the antique decor. All that's missing is a little nook you can curl up with a blanket and nap in.

Located on the ground floor of a large building just west of the park. Food isn't made to order, but it's delicious all the same! My friend and I came for breakfast. We had the chorizo breakfast burrito and the ham fritatta and both were delicious! They were happy to warm them up for us, and seating was available inside (up some a few stairs, though the counter is street-level) and outside. There is also pre-made, carry-out-ready food available, deli-style. According to my friend, the coffee is excellent. Regular coffee is self-serve, though the specialty drinks are not. Overall, an excellent choice for a quick, delicious breakfast or lunch if you're near Independence Hall!
