Knead Knead After 3 mornings in a row of getting Knead Bagels bagels, I can proudly state that this establishment is top tier Their bagels are exceptional, affordable, and their service is quick and accurate. They also have a great morning special- coffee and a bagel combo for under 7 bucks! In this day and age?! Wow! *Note I ordered online/to go I have yet to enjoy a dine in experience. Today is Morning #3. I just ate the best bagel I've ever tasted. Dark Toasted with a regular amount of roasted veggie cream cheese. Everything bagel is usually my go to, but I've been intoduced to a new spiced bagel through them, the Togarashi. I've got it 3 mornings in a row. Their dark toast is excellent. The bagel's crust offers just a slight crunch - not stale, not hard, - you bite into soft and warm bread and a great serving portion of your selected cream cheese. I will say- Remember they're a bagel shop not a coffee shop. Their bagels are delicious!!!!!!!! Give it a whirl!

Knead bagels provides a cozy atmosphere just off Washington square to enjoy their delicious freshly baked bagels. On warm days the front opens to let the fresh air in. There are a few tables inside and additional seating on the sidewalk. Knead offers an interesting selection of flavors paired with homemade cream cheeses and spreads. The bagels are delightfully crispy on the outside providing just enough resistance before giving way to a fluffy and chewy interior. While all the bagels are tasty, the togarashi provides a wonderful, subtle heat which pairs perfectly with the scallion lime cream cheese spread. If you have a sweet tooth the vanilla honey cream cheese is like spreadable cheese cake. The lavender bagel provides an ideal canvas for this decadent topping. It strikes a nice balance of providing notes of lavendar while avoiding an overwhelmingly herbal flavor. Pair you bagel with a delicious cold brew and you're off to a great start to the day!

If you need a delicious bagel and some coffee if your life, you’re heading in the right director by stopping here. The staff is super friendly and helpful with suggestions. Service is very quick, so you’re able to easily get in and get out. I chose their basic bagel sandwich and added bacon. I appreciated that they chopped the bacon on the sandwich instead of keeping it in a slice. Definitely get the sandwich with their house aioli on it. It’s like icing on the cake… if this was cake. A great stop for anyone in Philly or visiting like we were. *side note* they offer huge crunchy dill pickles 10/10. Yes, I ate a pickle with my sandwich and coffee.

Well I am not happy about an experience that i had here. Usually the people here are pretty nice but I don't like how this particular situation was handled. I often eat here and I stopped in right before closing to purchase a ginger ale. The lady at the register rung me up before noticing that they didn't have ginger ale in which I paid with my card, Her response was "Oh good thing the charge didn't go through!" Upon leaving the establishment I received a text message that the charge went through. (See pic below). No big deal, the charge was for $2.43. I called and left a message, I knew the store was closed at this time because I went 5 mins before closing. So I called again this morning and the lady I spoke to was sort of rude about it stating that no charges went through on her end and she basically kept stating this making it seem as though I was making this up. I feel like better customer service should have been in given in the situation. She could have an offered an apology for the confusion , She could have offered me a soda or something but to make it seem like i was making this up over $2.43 was just poor customer service. Now i've purchased many bagels from this establishment and I must say I won't be...

There is a paucity a good bagel shops in Philadelphia, and unfortunately, Knead Bagels does not fill the void.

As long as nobody will have to deal with the resulting halitosis, one of my favorite brunches is an everything bagel with whitefish salad, onions, and cucumbers. So when I saw it on Knead’s menu while in the area, I stopped in.

Now, I may be very particular with my bagel preferences, but I strongly believe that the best bagels offer a strong contrast of textures between a crispy outside and a warm, pillowy inside. And if there is seasoning, it should be dense—coating the outside. Knead disappointed with a monotonously chewy “circular bread product” and only moderate seasoning. The whitefish salad, though tasty, was anemic in proportion. And the onions lacked bite.

Overall, it wasn’t specifically a BAD sandwich, but it definitely didn’t scratch the itch; hence, 3 stars. I wonder if the more foodie-forward options are their strength, but they didn’t impress with...
