I would consider myself to be a snob when it comes to coffee. This place met my standards and flew above them. I’ve lived in Philly for 15 years, and this place has inspired me to try all the cafés that I have been ignoring for the past decade and a half. I walked into this shop, and was greeted with the wondrous aroma of freshly ground coffee, and the atmosphere of coffee people — like me — talking, sitting, and most importantly of all — enjoying coffee. However small this place was, it more so added to the joy of being in such a homely and warm establishment, most cafés dream of being. I looked over their menu thoroughly, being tempted by every single item. When I started to take over a minute, the barista (who had recognized my xenoblade chronicles necklace) started asking if I needed help ordering, or if I had any questions. With his help, I decided on the brew of the day, an Ethiopian I think. It was a light roast, so bright it felt like the sun was a flavor note. Very fruity, acidic, lemon or sour apple forward, and was all together a stunning display of what good coffee can look like. I sipped on my cup, and was thirsty for another. I went back up, asked the barista what other blends I should try, and he helped me through finding what I would like best based on how I liked the first one. I ended up with a single origin Brazilian medium roasted. It was great — very sweet, chocolatey and nutty, and much stronger “coffee” flavor. The barista then comes over to my table to check in on me and see how I liked it. We got talking about brewing methods and roasts for like 5 minutes and it was amazing. Cannot recommend a place more.
(Btw if you’re that barista, thank you so much for an amazing experience....

Every once in a while I stumble upon a coffee gem randomly and that’s exactly what happened on this Philly trip.
Ordered a pour over and asked the staff to make me whatever they suggest. I was not expecting to have one of the best cups of coffee I’ve ever had. When the staff mentioned, “notes of bergamot,” I didn’t take him seriously but my mind was seriously blown on the first sip. Never had that flavor in a coffee before (I drink and try a lot of coffee) and I’ve been thinking about it for the past week. Loved it so much, had to order something else.
Also got a cinnamon roll because I saw people loved it. Thought it was good, but also thought it was like any other laminated pastry LOL will probably order it again though.
What I loved about the staff was their knowledge and interest in coffee. In fact, I just went to a cafe in nyc hoping for the same experience. Ordered a coffee tasting flight, but got no explanation about what was from where or anything else and kept comparing it to my time at Thank You Thank You.

Read moreI travel often for work and always seek out specialty coffee shops. Thank you thank you is about a 40 minute drive from home for me and I have found myself going way out of my way to make excuses to go here.
First time I went i made a little sampler of a pour over similar to the espresso they had on bar at the time and had an excellent time.
The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and loves to chat about all things coffee need related. Ive never had such deep coffee conversations outside of my friend group. The staff really makes you feel welcome and want to make sure you have a great time.
When locals come in and get their "usuals" there's fun banter and discusssions that youll find yourself taking part in because the space is small, it really feels like a tiny coffee community.
I think the two best pour overs that I've ever had were both at Thank You Thank You. Cant say enough good things about this place.
Oh and if you feel like you missed the tip screen when you paid, that's by design. This is a fair wage, no tip establishment, which I...
