WOW WOW WOW, what more can I say about this place? The atmosphere was great with the dim overhead lighting and the blue neons reflecting off of the white chairs and tables. Our waiter was friendly and prompt, which is always nice. A friend and I started off with a flavorful Naked Gyoza as an appetizer and placed a combination entree order at the same time, the Sushi & Sashimi for two. Our waiter immediately brought out salad and miso soup for the both of us; it's included in the combination meal. Soon after the perfectly plated Naked Gyoza came out to us; it was my first time having any kind of Gyoza and it was great! After finishing our salads, soups, and appetizer, the entree arrived within what seemed like seconds. It was like they knew what we wanted before coming there and it was already pre-made specifically for us. The sushi and sashimi was extremely fresh, colorful, plated decoratively on a large tray, and had bold flavors that I've never experienced before since this was my first time ever having sashimi. This was my first time back at this place in well over a year. It's so nice seeing that some places weathered the pandemic and remained the same. Everything about this meal was as delicious as I expected from earlier visits. We got the avocado salad, which comes with a generous amount of avocado and the ginger dressing is light and tasty! We got a few of the special sushi rolls and they were fresh with great flavor combinations. The basic spicy tuna roll was a little on the salty side, but that was probably a one time random thing; we've always gotten this one in the past and we've never had any issues with the saltiness. I so badly want to give a good review for my first experience here but it was a mess from the moment my group walked through the door. I had made an online reservation through “google assistant” for a group of 8 for my birthday dinner. We walked in and stood in front of the hostess for 5 min with a bunch of the employees all just standing at the bar looking at us, before we were finally helped. She then was unable to find any record of my reservation despite multiple confirmation emails I had received. I will give them credit for taking time to try to figure out if they could squeeze us in, but we waited an additional 15-20 min just for them to tell us they couldn’t accommodate our group.
