I loved my ring when we first got it! It was so sparkly and beautiful, and priced well. We purchased it back in 2010. Now, I don't expect a ring to last forever without needing maintenance. and it has been fixed numerous times. The last time it required a whole new crown soldered back on. I was not thrilled with the crown falling off, or the fact that I could have lost my diamond.
When the repairs were finished they mailed my ring back to us (so we wouldn't have to make another trip into the city). Upon receiving it, It never really felt right... I stopped wearing it as much, since it kept getting stuck on clothing, towels, and other fabric like pieces. I just kept switching up my rings.
We brought it in yesterday (yes it was a while since we had been back), along with another ring that had loose diamonds in it (we'll get back to this in a bit) and I was informed that the tine and diamond were BROKEN. I have never heard of a diamond breaking before.... I was told "Diamonds... although are the hardest substance known to man, and they cut glass are very brittle. If you hit it with a hammer they will shatter". Okay!!! I'll buy that......BUT.... I didn't take a hammer to it. I assumed it was damaged during the last repair.
So we asked what they were going to do for us, and of course the answer was nothing.... He said "well your diamond is broken"
I was informed that they take pictures of the repairs, and he would go look at the images to find out. They kindly offered to fix my other ring for free and clean it, while we waited though (nice, right???) They brought my ring back all shiny and pretty, and claimed to have fixed the loose stones. BUT.........I was never shown the pictures, and I was told there was nothing they could do except get another diamond and reset it.
Now...getting back to my other ring we brought in....
The day before I brought my rings into Steven Singers we purchased a pair of earrings from another jeweler. She offered to clean my ring and checked the ring ahead of time for loose stones. This is how I found out the diamonds were getting ready to fall out. I was told she couldn't clean it for safety reasons.
Now......remember how Steven Singer's SOOOOOO kindly cleaned my rings, and tightened up my diamonds, while waiting???? ALL BS! WE went back to check their work today!!!!!! The same diamonds were still loose!!!!!! Oh and my wedding ring... the tine was NOT broken, but the diamond was. It was cracked UNDER the tine. Which showed it was damaged during the repair.
Moral to this story????? If you are looking for quality and INTEGRITY, find someone else, because I HATE STEVEN...
Read moreMy husband went to Steven Singer to design my engagement ring and worked on the design with Bob, who he very much enjoyed working with. My engagement ring is absolutely stunning! It is everything I dreamed of! I was just staring at it in the mirror the other day. I still love it just as much as the day I got it! My husband did great!
We went back to Bob for our wedding bands! Bob was vvvveeeeerrrryyyyyyy patient with me! I am the world's most indecisive person. We went multiple times before I made a final decision! I am soooo happy with the decision I made. I went with a mismatched look (it isn't exactly the same as my engagement ring). I'm so happy with my final decision! My wedding band is gorgeous with and without my engagement ring on my hand!
Bob helped us decide on sizes, shipping, whether or not to do a full infinity band, setting us up with the proper insurance, etc.
My husband's wedding band is another story. First of all, he ordered the size he was sized for and when it arrived it was entirely too big. He did not lose an entire ring size in weight from salt or the changes in the weather, etc. So that had to be exchanged. THEN, not even a month after being married, my husband took his ring of to wash his hands, it fell off and hit the floor and got a chip in it! (don't take your ring off to wash your hands...I know!)!!! A v-shaped chip! It's so weird. He was about to take it back but he realized with the sentimental value of it being the ring blessed by our priest and placed on his finger during our wedding ceremony that he didn't really want to turn it in.
We were going to bring it in any way for Bob to take a look at it and to see if we could get a replacement without turning the original one in (since they would probably only get rid of it anyway) but then COVID struck and we never went back.
That shouldn't be happening...especially to a brand new ring!
But overall, our experience with Bob and Steven Singer has been great. Both of my rings are still stunning. They cleaned them for me whenever we brought them in. Bob dipped my engagement ring the day of our rehearsal so it would like stunningly new for our big day. My Mom bought a necklace for herself one day when we stopped by and my husband bought me a "mrs" necklace for my wedding day gift, which I loved!

Read moreI'm not one to write reviews often, but the hassle we had with ordering my wedding ring from Steven Singer was among the worst we've ever experienced. This review is not to reflect negatively on the staff at this location as they were all great. (Save for their loss of our paperwork) Rather this is a poor review of the product itself and its quality control. We went into the store in February 2016 to find a men's wedding ring. I quickly found a titanium ring that I loved. They took down our info and the info on the ring as we took a few days to think about it. My fiancee went back in a couple days later to place the order only to find they had lost our paperwork. Not a big deal, we'll head back down when I'm in town and pick it out again which we did. Order placed. Two weeks later the ring came in, and we went in to look at it, and the ring was clearly not right. The edges were not rounded like the display i had seen. They confirmed the error and order it again. This time 3 weeks go by. We went in again to pick it up. This time the ring was too big. It was one full size larger than what we had ordered. By this point we were quite frustrated and were moving out the area. They assured us next time it would be right and they'd mail it straight to us when it came in. We just got a call back from the store (2 more weeks later) claiming that the 3rd ring that came in was still not right. By this point we are a mere 2 weeks away from the wedding. Two months later after 1 loss of paperwork and 3 incorrect rings, we still don't have my wedding band. Needless to say, we finally requested a refund and found a ring elsewhere. But with so little time before the wedding we were forced to pay expedited fees. Again, we liked the staff... but Steven Singer if you are reading this... QUALITY CONTROL! The lack of it reflects negatively on...
