Mad Dog's Creamery — Restaurant in Pigeon Forge

Yeah. This place well... sucks. I ran in with the dog because the whole website says "dog this dog that"... NO signs on the door or the building saying NO dogs... but the 12 year old kid (16 maybe or whatever) says "you can't have the dog here"... I said "like at all? You serve dog treats and dog ice cream?" "Well, he can go outside" "Ok. But you have no sign on the door and your whole website says DOG FRIENDLY and there is nothing saying I can't bring him inside on your website... in fact your website says he's welcome" She just stared at me. No reasoning. No comment. Just stared.

The ice cream was $3.50 (ish) a scoop (which I expected for Pigeon Forge). It was at best Blue Bunny quality. $2.95 for a dog cone prepackaged. I get health codes, (which I'm assuming is your reasoning... but I wasn't given a reason) but POST IT. And don't make me feel unwelcome at your "dog friendly" place...

You made me feel very unwelcome. VERY UNWELCOME. We were the only people in the building on a Wednesday night around 8. A good sized order with 7 kids and 4 adults. That's a big order. A lot of money. My dog and my husband sat around the corner outside because you made us feel so unwanted at YOUR DOG ICE CREAM STORE... pictures of dogs on the walls... dog treats at the counter... website says "bring your dog in for a cool treat" other customers outside were excited to see my Lab there. They loved him. He's a great dog. There are no signs on the store or the door. I looked. And then I looked again. I understand health codes, but I'm not from here, so I didn't know if that may be why your staff said that?...So when your website said "bring your dog!" I assumed he could come in and at least order with me. I'm so sorry that I was such a bother for your workers. We won't be...

Our granddaughter was in TN for competition cheer this weekend. They went to this ice cream shop. Her Mom made it quite clear that our granddaughter was allergic to marshmallows and asked if the scoops were exposed to the marshmallow ice cream. The lady told her they have an allergy scoop and that she would be fine. So my daughter trusted her, took her word for it and allowed our granddaughter to get ice cream scooped with the special scoop. Within a half an hour she broke out in hives. She was given allergy medicine and was told to take a cold shower. When she woke up in the morning, her whole body was swollen, including her throat. She was given more allergy medicine and when she got to the competition, she felt nauseous. A nurse was there and gave her a Zofran. Everybody was concerned about her and they had the trainer check her out. They gave her more allergy medicine and a pepcid to try and relieve her swelling. On her way home to SC she is still experiencing swelling of her entire body and throat but it is slowly subsiding, at least we think so. Of course, we don't know if the allergy medicines she was given will have lasting affects or if she is still not out of the woods. Your shop just lost many customers from the cheer competition and then some. I, along with our daughter and the many others that were there at the comp and witnessed our granddaughter swollen and heard the story are angry! If anybody reading this or your child has allergies...DO NOT go to this shop! Obviously it was all about a sale and not about the safety of a child! 😡

Update: It's been 3 days and although somebody contacted me asking for my information so the owner could contact me; No one has reached out. Apparently, they don't care!...

WOW!!!! They Have It ALL!!!! CRAZINESS for a small ice cream parlor. Funnel cakes smelled and looked delicious. They have "Ice cream on a cloud" which is 3 huge scoops of ice cream with your choice of candies toppings all served up on a HUGE pile of cotton candy!

Their soft serve is possibly the best I have had in the pigeon forge area!

Ice cream nachos were served up too! Waffle cone busted up with ice cream on top them your choice of sundae syrups, whip cream, and a cherry on top!

THEY ARE ALSO OPEN LATE!!!!! It was after 10pm and we still got in with a line of people there and more followed us!

Excellent service and it moved really fast with only 2 employees serving the crowd.

10/10 highly recommend!!!

Our second visit (6/30) and it did not disappoint at all!!! They were packed but the line moves fast. 4 employees working tonight and folks piling one after the other. Still 10/10...
