We came up from sacramento ca to drop off our son at byu Idaho, we were looking for a good Mexican restaurant to eat at, and we found this place. This is the very first time that we've ever had TERRIBLE customer service at one of these places. I ordered a chimichanga with birria, and my wife ordered birria tacos. Both of the items that we ordered not only tasted awful, but were burnt. I tried explaining to the only waiter what had happened and he responded with very vulgar language and insults. I kindly asked to have my money back and he refused and told me to leave. I have never been treated this rudely at an establishment before. I will never recommend these place ever to nobody.

Cheese nachos and shrimp Diablo burrito. I would give a 3.5 overall. What they lack in, Taqueria el Rancho shines and vice versa.

Pros: sauces are incredible. Lots of flavor, and if you like some spice, they got it. Reasonably priced burritos. My friend got a Cali burrito and said the fries were nice and crunchy. Top three favorite Cali burrito experiences for him and being from California, trust me, he's had his fair share.

Cons: Service not so friendly. Tried to call ahead 45 mins before they closed and got the busy line the entire way. When I got there, the phone looked intentionally off the hook and as I was probed why I didn't call ahead, I mentioned the issue getting through the phone line and got the "why didn't you take the hint" vibe. I get it, I worked in the industry for over ten years. But come on, it was quite the window prior to closing.

The nachos were no good; overly priced and chips tasted store bought. We ordered with extra cheese which resulted in lumped cheese sections, not evenly distributed. And the styrofoam was melted. Was this microwaved in styrofoam? Yikes. The styrofoam issue around here is for another rant but I don't recommend eating food from a melted styrofoam box in...

Owner is a complete scammy Mr. Krabs type! Staff is very friendly. We placed a Togo order and tipped generously. I asked if they could do a veggie Flauta and they said no, so I said no problem, and just ordered the vegan nachos they had advertised on the menu (which was basically chips and guac). Everyone got their food first, we waited paitentially for a long time before checking in on our order. After we checked it still took a stupid long time lol. When the food came out the "vegan nachos" was just a FEW nachos and a BUNCH of lettuce to fill in the missing area of the box. There was a tiny (like 1oz) little drop of Guacamole in the center of the 'nachos' I asked for more Guacamole and the guy gave me a laughably small portion cup of Guacamole for a giant box of lettuce. I told him I was under the impression i was paying $11.50 for chips and Guacamole, not chips and lettuce. When I asked for more for the wait, the owner told me "no, mexican food is expensive" I just said "yea ok, good business" and walked away. I'm from Texas, and let me tell you mexican food is not expensive. That was just a...

Decent food.. Not complaining about the taste.. but the way it's presented the way they have the items listed on the menu screams nothing but American mexican food. Nothing authentic/"mexican homstyle" about this place except the spelling on the menu. I'm only half mexican but I'm fully in touch with my mexican half of the family. Furthermore, what mexican resteraunt serves a corn tortilla soaking wet with juices and expects it not to fall apart?..or who puts French fries in burritos?!?!..nothing mexican about it. in Mexico they wrap corn tortillas twice just for that very reason. Any mexican resteraunts for that matter. It's common sense. I've came here twice now just to be disappointed, not with the taste as iv said.. all though the meat is kinda flavorless.. I'm just disappointed in the place being nowhere near my standards of a mexican restaurant, even with having mexican owners.. should just be called a tex Mex and I wouldn't have such a problem. But with all this being said. I'm glad I live in Texas so I'll never have to be near this un-authentic mexican restaurant.

We were in Rexburg for about a week .. we went to this place around 7:45 pm. First and foremost no one helped us for good solid 10 minutes they were in the back and also cleaning tables no one bothered to greet us, or even come take our order until about 10 minutes later maybe they were waiting for us to leave.... Anywho 10 minutes later an older fella came to take our order .... We ordered: Fish taco Torta De Carne asada Carne Asada fríes Carne asada burrito The only thing we genuinely liked out of our entire order was the carne asada fries.... They were actually really tastey! The fish taco was bland, the torta bread was really really dry, and the burrito for the amount of money was really small. This place is a bit overpriced, it has a lot of potential as it is nice inside but their customer service, their food prices, and quality of their food is not the best. Nonetheless we went, we tried it, and we will not be going back when we comeback next week. They also close early fyi
