The place is beautiful and everyone is so friendly. We came here for dinner before a comedy show and it was a great experience. The menu is small but the items on it are all really good options. We ordered two mocktails and when they came my MIL didn’t like hers. The owner immediately came over and asked what was wrong with it and went to make her another one. The second one wasn’t great either so he personally made her one and it was delicious. We ordered our food and enjoyed the fresh made bread and hummus dip while we waited. Once our food arrived we dug in, everything looked delicious. We ordered the a bunch of plates to share and we also couldn’t decide on just a couple things so we decided to try the majority of them. They were ALL delicious! It’s not very common to like every thing you order, but that was the case tonight. The salads were nothing grand and the greens on both were way too big to eat. We had to chop our own salad and the pita croutons were way too big and hard to eat, the shrimp was perfectly cooked and super flavorful. The grilled halloumi was very tasty but needed some honey to tie it all together. The filet skewers were good and flavorful and not fatty. I didn’t taste the rack of lamb, but from what I could tell it was really good. The French fries were perfectly cooked, not too crispy and not too soft. They drizzle a little yogurt sauce that adds the perfect amount of bitter to cut the saltiness of the fries. The owner came by to check how the food was and was soo open to feedback that it was kind of refreshing. He told us he just opened 5 weeks ago and was very open to ideas on improvement. It’s not very often you run into someone so willing to listen to their customers, but he was. He then went on to tell us the story of how the name was born (really cool story, ask if you can) and how he ended up in Sacramento with a restaurant. Such a personable guy that talking to him felt like we’ve known him for a long time. After we finished everything, it was that good, he came over and thanked us for being so open to likes/dislikes that he offered us a pistachio tiramisu on the house. That too was great, and I don’t normally like tiramisu but I went in for a third bite. Overall everything was great and the place is very comfortable and inviting. 10/10

I’m just being honest and we were hoping this was going to be a really good spot specially being a 4.8 star here. The two restaurants next door to it closed down one being Station 16 which we really liked ( they moved to Elk Grove) probably because of rent hike idk. So the front and service was good they were nice. They didn’t ask if we were celebrating anything special but that’s ok (was my son’s bday). The prices as expected were overpriced. The plates here are but 8” so the skewers were maybe 6”. They were pretty good atleast. But the 26 dollar meat balls were hard, and dry. I was a bit shocked. The beet salad was so sour as if they dumped 3oz of concentrated lemon juice. My wife couldn’t eat it and I forced myself. The portion of beet was maybe a table spoon diced up. The carnitas Mac, I didn’t taste any carnitas but a piece of fat. The seabass was good. The desserts were also good. The bread they serve was also good. The lavender non alcoholic drink with much ice for 9 bucks was good. As usual I write reviews to point out what needs to be fixed. The place is nice. Just need to improve on this honestly. As much as I wanted to bring it up on the spot - I don’t feel comfortable sending back food. The people next to us actually sent something back. Perhaps the cook was off tonight idk. Our waitress did bring out a candle with our dessert for my son. That’s was really nice! With this review I’m pretty sure the salad and meatballs will be checked next time, Your welcome :)

Update on 250829: they now have live jazz music on Thursday evenings from 6 pm. This spot is a sanctuary in the city— with wide windows that open to mature trees and downtown professionals and travelers. The live jazz by a small ensemble was intimate and moving. Food was beautifully plated and delicious, the interior refined yet warm, and the staff couldn’t have been kinder. A perfect blend of ambiance, artistry, and hospitality. ---- My family and I had a wonderful feast of Mediterranean American dinner. We finished our dinner with pistachio tiramisu and Turkish coffee in these cutest coffee cups. For the bread service, we were served house made bread with house made sundried tomato dip/spread. The lamb and the skewer were perfectly tender. The beet salad was beautiful and tasty. My 9 year old kid loved the fries with yogurt. At first, he didn't want to try the fries with yogurt but was pleasantly surprised by the taste. My husband loved the zucchini dish. It was the fourth night of their soft opening. We were told that the chef's specialty is steaks, and they are working on 28-day dry aged rib eye steaks, which would be ready in weeks. The background music was soft - easy to talk. The atmosphere was classy. The service was friendly. The food was great and the price was good. We had a great night and look forward to coming back. Next time, whatever I'm going to have, I'll end the meal with a cup of Turkish coffee again. That was so special.

Dinner here happened by chance, we were headed elsewhere and found this place in passing and the interior looked interesting so we popped in. We were just going to have a quick snack and move on but we ended up having a third or more of their entire menu. Truly beautiful dishes. Kind and attentive service. We sat in the bar and “Josh with a Ç” took great care of us. You absolutely must try several starters: the braised pork fusilli is sooo good, the broth is to die for, I could’ve had 5 orders. The halibut crudo was light and refreshing and the plating was lovely, I don’t usually like dill and the chef doesn’t over do it so that was a pleasure. We also really loved the pork chop, served off the bone, and the combination of ingredients really surprised me because they worked perfectly together.

Drinks were pretty good, my favorite was the pear cocktail on their house list, love the large ice cube, although I absolutely hate paper straws. This drink does not require one so it would be better served with one only upon request, and maybe a slice of pear or something with some color as a garnish and they could charge more for it. Also had Cruz azul and which you can never go wrong with. Cruz is amazing tequila and I always enjoy it but it ought to be served in a small snifter not the typical shot glass, it’s 40 a shot which is pretty standard in other places but when I order a $40 pour it would be nice if it was a little more presentable. Josh was awesome and we will be back for sure, and his little brother from HR worked as the host which was adorable! The place is brand new and as someone that has worked in a ton of decent restaurants their kitchen is doing extremely well for the first week. Truly impressive. Food came out quickly. Hot food was hot. Plated with care. Portions were appropriate. I didn’t feel like a pig after we left, even though we had like 6 or 7 plates. Good time. Love the barstools with the countertops.

The only reason I’m going 4 stars on ambience is because they had basketball playing on a tv in every direction I looked. This is the only confusing thing in the place. It’s like they have one owner that wanted a sports bar and the other owners want a loungey unique upscale restaurant. At least they had the volume off but all the other patrons at the bar that we met agreed that it was way too much TV. If we want sports we would go to the yard house. Their service and menu can stand alone no need for screens.

We...
