Casa Lola — Restaurant in Sacramento

Came here today, and ordered steak fajitas. It was 90% bell pepper/onion to 10% steak ratio. We also only got 3 tiny tortillas for what typically would need about 7-8 to eat that mound of veggies. We asked to order more and they were quick to respond with offering to bring some out. I asked if they were free, and they told me 3.95 for another 3 small ones. So if ordering fahitas be prepared to bring your own tortillas or shell out another 12 bucks (you will need to)if you actually want enough tortillas with it! Lastly, I paid 5.95 for a Mexican Tamarand Drink, and it literally came in the smallest 4 ounce cup! I have never seen su much a small amount of drink in a restaurant before especially for the price! The food was ok, but definitely not worth the price. You could hear when the couple next to us was ordering, the waiter kept saying..that will be extra! If you want to get nickled and dimed for mediocre food go here. We won't be going back. Wish we ate at Cafe Birma next door but wanted to try...

We loved Casa Lola! Arriving on a busy Friday night, only it’s 5th day of operation could have been challenging, and we did wait a bit but with cocktails, atmosphere, and welcoming staff it was worth the wait. We were a party of 4 and the bartender made delicious, creative margaritas. The Luna Morada, fresh blackberries, with a hint of rosemary, was delicious & beautifully prepared. Great late night atmosphere, the staff was friendly. The owner was walking around talking to everyone. The food was pretty quick. We got a simpler spread which honestly I wouldn’t mind getting every time. I had a great assortment of most popular items and it was a lot of good portions and for the price you honestly cannot beat it. The guacamole was definitely one of the best of I’ve had any restaurant tastes very fresh and lots of fresh flavors.
