Bee Sweet — Restaurant in Saint George

The ice cream is mid and I normally wouldn’t give a bad review for that. What I will give a bad review for is the awful customer service we experienced. No hi, welcome, anything. They have weird flavors. Which is fine, but when I ask what something is I would hope the employee would be able to say what’s in it and at the very least be able to tell me that there are in fact nuts in it. I got a sample that didn’t have nuts in it. It was interesting and I said what’s in that? He said “I don’t know the flavor profile so your guess is as good as mine.” Very professional. Then, I order a small of that flavor in a waffle cone. He said “we don’t have any I’m working on stock” as there’s literally 12 waffle cones behind him…… if my husband hadnt already received his, I would have just walked out. I kind of wish I did anyway because I get the ice cream and it’s RIDDLED with nuts! So shame on the guy behind the counter and shame on the owner because you’d think that somewhere on there they would put “contains nuts” or something so people with nut allergies don’t get it considering the employees don’t know the “flavor profile.” The guy working there did not want to be there, and he made that abundantly clear to us. I love supporting small, but I would have been better...

Nothing special, ice cream is just bluebell ice cream and the only GF flavors are vanilla, chocolate, and pistachio almond. Service was also not great. The teenagers working were having their own conversation and not being attentive to customers. I had to keep reminding them what we wanted to order. One of the kids would reach far down in the bucket to scoop ice cream, get his hoodie sleeve all dirty and just go to the next bucket for the next order 🤢 Also very pricey! In my opinion, you'd get more bang for your buck and better customer service at any other ice cream place like Handles...

Website says they're open until 11:30. We were very happy to grab some local dessert after dinner and walked in to the staff saying they were closed just now (10:20 a full hour early). The owner saw us and we were told "this place closes when I say it does".

Very disappointed in the unprofessional attitude. I understand things come up but just acknowledging that you're closing early instead of the attitude would have been much more tolerable. Do not recommend. Many good options in the area...
