This place has the potential to be great but just wasn’t! It’s easy to stumble upon as you walk around Salem. I want to smell donuts when I walk into a donut shop and this place doesn’t smell like donuts or coffee. I don’t think the donuts are made there because there were tubs of wrapped donuts on a counter. None of the equipment in the place looks used at all, it was kind of weird. And the donuts we got from the display area were cold (nothing more disappointing than a COLD apple cider donut in a brisk day) and they were not fresh. The girl working was nice. The coffee and cider were nothing special. The cider looked like Kirkland brand from a gallon jug and the coffee was poured but you add your own sweetener that is sitting out on the only table in the place. Nowhere to really sit and enjoy your goodies. Probably because they aren’t good. It was super expensive for really crap quality stuff. Didn’t realize until after we paid. Oh and they add a 10% “Wellness Fee” on top of the $5+ dollar donuts and drinks. Just not a great...
Read moreJust not good. I'm giving them 2 stars because I didn't try everything, so I'm holding out hope this was just a one off issue + I like the name 🙄
Popped in real quick. Saw several people go in and out without ordering, so I thought I'd give them a shot. Ordered my ONE singular cake donut, nothing special, and it was over $5! Thought to myself, it's OK, supporting local small business is good.
The employee grabbed one from what I assumed was the "day old" type section sitting under a warmer, but I went with it. I got outside, grabbed the warm donut which made me think it was going to be good, took a bite and was EXTREMELY disappointed. It was old, dry, chewy, and all the spices had been cooked off or had fallen off. It was not good at all.
I was shocked. I should've gone back and asked for another, but I just wanted to move on. Tossed the rest and continued on with my day. I do...
Read moreThis was such a disappointing experience. The name intrigued me and I absolutely love donuts so I gave it a chance. It was a bit of a hole-in-the-wall place, but sometimes those are the best kept secrets. The floors were so sticky, which was disconcerting, and 4 simple donuts (2 apple ciders and 2 chocolate frosted) were $20+!!! For being some of the most expensive donuts I’ve ever bought, they must be good right? These were easily the absolute worst donuts I’ve ever had! Both my husband and I had one bite of each one and were done. They were stale and had the weirdest processed flavor. Don’t let the cute name fool you and take your...
