I’m stationed in SLC for two years until I deploy. The bar I attend tonight was fast passed, great music and impressive to say the least. I can understand why it’s a five star rating bar. I sat at the bar about 2 hours. The bartenders were friendly & remembered my name. This means a lot coming from my background. By the end of the night I was Brad or Sargent. The waitress bartenders I had were Brooke & Brandi and a man name I didn’t catch. They were friendly and respectful women. I don’t appreciate women who flirt to try and earn their tip. I figured they were both new. My bill was 48.90 and I had no issue leaving a 100$ tip to these ladies. I appreciate the amount of respect I was given while at your bar. I will be a returning customer. I choose to bring my military buddies with me the next time I go. I have plans to attend. I did take a an Uber to your bar and back to the station. I appreciate you training your ladies not to flirt for cash. It’s a real turn off and disrespectful to mean in general. I will be apart of your BarX as long as you will have me. You will always have an extra customer (me) as a bouncer if anyone’s gets out of hand. I’m trained in special forces and enjoyed your bar tonight. I never write reviews and I felt the need my words must be heard. See you all...
Read moreFancy and well designed-- I'm talking about both the interior and the beverages. The beverages aren't cheap, per se, but if you're into treating yourself to a cocktail or three this is our go-to spot.
Ok-- now story time, I'll try to keep it short.
We went there on a Friday night and it was super busy, people were waiting several minutes for a drink, the three bartenders were doing their best to keep up (it can't be easy to be a bartender there when all of their drinks are so intense to make, so have some patience when you go there).
There was (maybe there still is) an "Ask the Bartender" drink option on the bottom of the menu, and the bartender took time to ask me at least a dozen questions about what kind of drinks I like, for instance, "Do you like gin? Do you like sweet or botanical gin? Do you like ginger? Do you want to taste the gin or the ginger more? How much do you want to spend on your drink?"
I was blown away that I was able to have on a busy Friday night at 10pm and the bartender seemed to actually be having fun working with me to make a $9 drink that I would really enjoy and had never tried before.

Read moreDefinitely a great cocktail bar when stopping by in Salt Lake City. Centric and accessible so it was a must for me during a night layover. After reading all the fun comments about this place I immediately rushed there as soon as they opened at 18:00. As a flight attendant, we must take full advantage of our time when visiting cities and often we get to do this things on our own if not accompanied by anyone else from our crew, but going there was the opposite of fun. Music was down, bartender were not chatty and even if going in early, I had a purpose… of enjoying all the things people talked about and have a great cocktail.
I started with a gin based cocktail called Moon River. It was great. Well balanced and refreshing (picture #2)
Followed by a bar creation under the directions of Roulette as it seemed as the most mysterious item on their menu (picture #1) which was also gin based and had a spectacular flavor that brought memories of eating red grapefruit in the Caribbean.
Overall, a good experience with the cocktails, a not so good on the ambiance. Wouldn’t mind going back for a cocktail if I spend the night in...
