This is not my first rodeo with these guys, I've always had great service and good food. This time was inexplicably out in left field. I took a group of colleagues out for lunch, and after one had wanted to try a nice Thai restaurant This place immediately came to mind. When we arrived there were 2 other people in the restaurant already enjoying their lunch. We sat down, got our drinks and passed in our lunch orders right away. I didn't pay any attention to the time as we engaged in conversation and enjoyed each other's company. It wasn't until one of us received their order while the rest of us didn't. It was a bit awkward as we waited, thinking she just didn't have enough free hands to carry it all. Oh no, not the case. We proceeded to wait another 15 minutes before the next dish was served. That's 2 down 2 to go. I quickly glanced over the restaurant and realized every party that had come after us had their food at this point. At least another 10 minutes before the third dish, but still one to go. With ~35 minutes into our visit we all finally had our dishes, utterly disorganized in the kitchen. While the one in our party was just digging in, the majority of the restaurant was finishing their meals, and we arrived before all of them! And forget about the special requests, everything came out non-spicy and generic, they didn't listen to any of our spice level requests.

The food was tasty I'll give them that, but it's hard to really enjoy food when you are already upset and in a rush, and it's not how you asked it be prepared. Bottom line, this is un-characteristic of this restaurant, but I can't give any justifications as to why they had such a terrible turnaround time. No one was there, we didn't ask for any substitutions, just food right from the menu (I mean, Pad Thai for crying out loud, 30 minutes really!?).

That's too bad, I suppose I'll stick to Sawadee, it was nice to avoid driving but I'll take it over the service...

Well what can I say about Bangkok Terrace other than I visit this place at-least twice a week on my lunch break. The Food is incredible, I have extremely high standards when it comes to thai food. The food is great, hot, fresh, clearly always made to order. The curry is to die for! Panang Curry is so tasty, so many levels of taste, deep red and orange in color not milky looking at all like some other places in the area. The Peppered chicken is super tasty as well. The food is consistent every time I visit.

The ambiance is great, always bright and warm inside, easy to get a table, service is great, they serve you and they let you eat, constantly filling your water.

The chef, she is so nice, she sometimes makes an appearance and when she does she always asks how your food taste and is concerned about your happiness which is a great trait to have in this business.

I would recommend Bangkok Terrace to anyone who loves some authentic Thai Food. I have visited once for dinner and the portions are larger and just as tasty as the...

The food Wasn’t good. I ordered yellow curry and Pad Thai. The yellow curry was bland. Only a couple potatos and a few carrots. The Pad Thai was awful. When the server checked in on me I told her that something tasted off about it, a little sour, the noodles were a little slimy and that it was ok for her to take. She asked me if I wanted it sweeter or more spicy. I said neither and was ok with her taking it. She took it to the kitchen and brought it back with what I assume is more sauce anyways. I let her know that I appreciated the action, but sweet or spicy wasn’t the issue. She insisted I try the modified pad Thai. It was sweeter, but still a little sour and slimy. Its a beautiful atmosphere and the location is nice. Overall the food I had wasn’t good. Service was a little odd. I recently ate at Sala Thai on 600 S 200 W and found the food quality much better. The restaurant isn’t as glamorous, but significantly more satisfying (food and service) and not too much...

We unfortunately did not experience anything close to what many of the other reviewers did while eating here. My husband and I arrived just before 6 pm and were seated immediately. We did not get any water or have our order taken for 15 plus minutes which was odd considering there were only 2 other (small) tables dining at the time. Our appetizer (chicken satay) took more than 30 minutes and though the flavor was good, the chicken was extremely dry. The Pad Thai lacked flavor which was disappointing considering the various ingredients and usual flavor profile the dish offers. The Masaman Curry was the only redeaming portion of our meal- it was delicious and the size of the entree was great. All in all, the service was lackluster at best and the food was mediocre. We will not be dining here again.

Pad kee mao or Pad Thai all the way! I love all Thai noodle dishes! Chewy rice noodles with that sweet soy and basil freshness. Naturally I ordered a pad kee mao with chicken. The portion size here is quite substantial. There are plenty of veggies and flavor in the noodles and chicken. However I thought it was just a bit too greasy, after I was done, the entire inside of mouth was coated with oil. My fellow diners who ordered the fried rice also thought the oil was a bit on the heavy side. Good flavor, just less oil and it would be 5 stars!

I went here once in lunch and once in dinner. So far so good, tasty, affordable price, good enough portions. Our server in dinner time, too nosy, she asked too many private questions just because we're Asian. And it makes me uneasy, want to leave as soon as we ate our appetizers. She kept on coming back and ask anything else to order? It was just me and my kid, we had three appetizer, two main course. Anyway, Simple menu with good descriptions. Overall great food, quiet ambience, suitable for business dinner, affordable price.
