Smacks chicken shack — Restaurant in San Antonio

We decided to visit this food truck while looking for new chicken sandwiches to try, and it was absolutely worth it. Great service, quality food.

I ordered the Big Smack and I'm glad I picked it. The smack sauce is sooo delicious and along with the fresh iceberg lettuce and other ingredients it was basically the perfect sandwich for me. My partner had the Nashville Hot and it was equally juicy and flavorful, with a noticeably hot kick. It's probably his favorite from the ones we've had.

As pictured, the portions are HUGE. The chicken filet is thick but it wasn't dry. Soft brioche buns. The sandwiches come with fries that have a different seasoning to them, pretty sweet, which made them interesting. Overall, highly recommend and will probably be going back!

*Edited to add pictures of a second visit: Of course we went back to try more from their menu! This time, we went for the loaded fries and another sandwich. The loaded fries were delicious, just the chicken filet chopped on top with the sauces from the sandwich, a good option to switch things up. I picked the Cheesy Thai flavor. The chef was accommodating when I asked for no sugar on the fries this time. And the sandwich was the Mango Habanero, sweet sauce with a kick. Everything was just as tasty as the first time! Very...

Looking for poor customer service?... hard to find food truck and bland chicken with oz of mayo sauce... ? not to mention cold. You've got it !

Things that could improve. Decal or even a simple sign or drawing identifying the business Menus for customers including proper utensils/ napkins ( My order consisted of chicken burger & wings...just to be tossed 1 singular napkin) Drinks or investment into a small fridge. Remember customers (our order has been forgotten, and was told they called our name, yet we never heard the name call out as we were just on the side of the truck waiting.

As established as this food truck seems to be... it's just a too good to be...

The food is good there’s no denying that, but the service and the environment is just not it. Sage was a fan favorite but this new guy is polar opposite of him I had raised my voice a little because it was 10 minutes and I had barely seen his face and he looked at the window asked who was shouting at him, and then looked back. I understand he’s short staffed it’s only him but Sage was just so much better at dealing with it and now I just feel pushed away and that’s why I’m no longer buying from this place. On top of that there’s no napkins no drinks any of that I wouldn’t be surprised if they start giving you bags. Food is delicious but everything else...
