I don’t care if this place is 45min out of your way… make SURE you hit this food truck up if you’re in or around San Antonio!
Employees were friendly and one recommended the strawberry fresca. I originally wanted to try the cucumber lime fresca but I learned they don’t have all of them every day, so don’t get your hopes up on a particular flavor and be open to trying their recommendations! Prices were NOT listed for the frescas - $9.50 per! Phew - I thought it was pretty expensive for a drink at first but when I realized how big it was, that it was made with fresh fruit, and includes all the garnishes/candy, I realized it was a steal!
The food came very quickly and both the tacos and quesadillas were delicious. The green sauce was very spicy for me but I couldn’t get enough of it.
If your google maps tells you you’ve arrived and all you see is an empty gravel parking area and a pink restaurant, don’t worry, it’s there - it’s just BEHIND the pink building! :) walk toward it and you’ll see! Parking is on the street and when we went it was very hard to find a spot even tho the food trucks didn’t seem very...
Read moreDo yourself a favor and check this place out! It's located in a food truck space behind the pizza place. It's a purple house with hot pink trim. Parking is pretty good. If you can get the street, it's free, but there is a Republic Park right next to the building. Seating is outdoor, but covered. I had the kids' flautas. I wanted to try something small in case I didn't like it. I've had birria many times, and there is always too much cinnamon. This birria was perfect! Those kids' flautas were packed with meat and cheese. They were delicious! The meat was tender, juicy, and flavorful. Had the perfect balance of spices and cinnamon. The guys in the truck were so handsome, too! That's a total side note, but for real, they were muy guapo! I also had the Sandia Agua Fresca. They serve it in a 32 oz deli. So it's not cupholder friendly for the car. That aside... Perfect balance of sweet and fruity. It was pure watermelon! So fresh tasting and still spot on despite the ice melting into it. You can get it dressed with chamoy and Tajin for an upcharge. Make it your business to go eat here. Best...
Read morerecently moved into the area and decided to try El Camino “Tejas Birria” to be exact, first not everything on the menu was available, which is okay because sometimes they sell out, but when ordered we received a device that will beep and flash to let us know when our order was ready, well about 30 minutes go by and we get up to see what’s going on and when we get to the truck they tell us in Spanish that our order has been sitting there then proceed to tell us in Spanish “yall didn’t hear it or what” thinking that we could not understand but my girlfriend speaks Spanish and tells them that the beeping device didn’t go off, whole time it was “dead” and our food and drinks were sitting there getting cold and watery. Overall horrible customer service and would be the last time going...
