My recent experience at Paramour was nothing short of a trainwreck. In an attempt to provide a fair assessment, I must highlight the numerous disappointments I encountered during my ill-fated visit.
First and foremost, the elevator situation was perplexing and inconvenient. As a customer, being denied access to the elevator on the 4th floor is an absurd expectation. It's astounding that the management hasn't prioritized basic accessibility for their patrons.
Even more concerning was the owner's outrageous response to a simple restroom request. Instead of addressing the situation with tact and understanding, the owner resorted to calling the police and lying, stating he seemed drunk which was far from the truth. Such behavior is not only unnecessary but also highlights a severe lack of professionalism. I understand this was on part of the building owner, not the bar's management, but must be considered.
Once inside the bar, the lack of air conditioning was immediately noticeable. It's unfathomable that in this day and age, an establishment fails to provide a comfortable environment for its guests. The absence of air conditioning made for an uncomfortable and stifling experience, which detracted from any enjoyment one might have hoped for.
Adding insult to injury, the mandatory brunch buffet was an absolute disaster. The subpar quality of the food left much to be desired, making the obligatory payment feel like an unjustifiable expense. It's disheartening when an establishment prioritizes profit over providing a pleasant dining experience.
As if the disappointments weren't plentiful enough, the bar enforced a two-drink minimum on overpriced beverages. This is a clear attempt to extract more money from unsuspecting customers, further contributing to the sense of being taken advantage of during the visit. Servers also wouldn't allow us to order tea or coffee in leu of alcoholic beverages for the minimum.
While the staff's lack of attentiveness was apparent, the saving grace of the evening was the presence of talented drag performers. However, relying solely on the entertainment value of the drag performers is hardly a redeeming factor for an establishment that fails so profoundly in other aspects. I suggest to the performers, to look for work elsewhere. i would suggest Pick's on 1604.
In conclusion, my visit to Paramour was marred by a series of missteps and disappointments. From the inaccessible elevator to the owner's inappropriate response, the lack of air conditioning, the terrible brunch buffet, and the exorbitant drink minimum, there is little reason to recommend this place to anyone. I urge potential patrons to seek other options that prioritize customer satisfaction and basic standards of...

Read moreStopped in yesterday night to check out this place because I thought it looked like a pretty cool spot. Went to the bar with my friend to order a drink, and asked the bartender for a cocktail menu and she said that they didn't have one. So she said she could make any drink we wanted & she gave us some recommendations on drinks. The drink she recommended sounded great, so we went with her recommendations.
Drinks took 10+ minutes, so we just had one drink each. When we went to pay for our tab, our tab for 2 drinks was $54 without tip. The bartender didn't tell us that she was going to give us a mezcal that was a $100+ bottle while the drink was $36. So I asked for the manager and shortly he came out with a COCKTAIL MENU, and said "the price is right here on the menu, what's the problem". I don't remember his name but he was short with white hair. He also appeared to be super intoxicated as he was slurring his speech, prior we saw him at the bar drinking before with the drag girl. When he walked over with the menu we were super upset because we were told that they didnt have a drink menu. I told him it would've been nice to know this cocktail was $36, when I told him we were upset with the price he proceeded to take cash out of his pocket and was trying to give me cash to make up for it, like what????
He proceeded to call me a liar that I didn't know that this was a higher end cocktail, and told me that he takes his bartenders word over mine. SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL. He told me that he'd be right back (which we thought he was going to fix the situation), but then disappeared.
I work in the service/restaurant industry and I've NEVER experienced anything like this. I will never be back & I will never recommend this place to anyone.
Beware when coming...
