The place is still new so this is a first impression, but what I got (their Ocho burrito) tastes amazing and the owner really seems like he's doing his best to get this place off the ground running.

I may need to stop by a few more times to test their breakfast options because honestly that's what I'm most hyped for as a local 😁

6/15/24 Edit: Just went and tried their Bandido breakfast burrito. It's really good - there's nothing too overpowering as far as flavor or texture, everything is spread well, and the burrito itself isn't so big that you're gonna feel like you need a nap afterwards. Can't wait to try some of their other breakfast options!

6/22/24 Edit: just tried the Surfing Cali and it's the best one so far. Everything I've had so far has been good, but this one is my favorite. It's seriously good, trust me.

8/16/24 Edit: I regret how long it took me to try their Ocho Fries. Toppings aside - their fries are unreasonably good. And the large size can feed a small village.

9/28/24 Edit: I have now tried all the meat options they have. All of them are amazing. That said, from most to least favorite, I'd rank them; Carne, Pollo, Surf & Turf, Adobada, and then Carnitas. Again, all of them are amazing, but their carne is next-level and their pollo is super good as well. I feel like most other places make it too dry. It's super tender and...

So I ordered a bean and cheese burrito and a mini egg and chorizo burrito. I watched so many people come and go and I kept checking if my order was ready and they said it wasn't. Bottom line it took a half an hour for a bean and cheese burrito. I paid for Pico to be added to the bean and cheese burrito. I ended up eating the mini chorizo and egg one first. I took the other one home and went to eat it later there was no pico de gallo or cheese in it it was just a giant bean burrito. So I was frustrated. But while I was chatting with other customers they say oh that never happens they are always really good here they must have lost your order. So since the lady saved face for them I thought okay I'll forgive them it can happen. The next day I go back with my being only burrito and say there's no cheese or Pico in it but I have to wait behind a guy who said cancel my order I've been waiting for a half an hour you've been serving everybody else their food and he was very disgruntled. So I immediately had a flashback to the day before except for I was much nicer than this guy. There were no apologies or no here have some free chips or anything. And it turns out that bean and cheese burrito sucked. It was 13.00! I would probably go back but just for one of those mini burritos for $5 because that certainly filled me up and...

We ordered two coffees, I got the churro latte which was fabulous! And my husband got the horchatta latte , he said it was good but he felt it didn’t have a strong enough coffee flavor for him, I tasted his and he was right my drink was a lot bolder in flavor & had a stronger taste of coffee. We also ordered a breakfast Cali burrito to split & that was delicious! Add hot sauce (red or green) literally fuego 🔥. Soo good. I was impressed it was my first time here and honestly I wanted to go back the next day that’s how much I enjoyed my churro latte! It’s a walk up window you order & wait they do have like two small tables and some stools out front on the sidewalk area. & parking can get tight (it is after all hillcrest/bankers hill.) but if you go early enough you’ll be fine. I went Saturday morning and it wasn’t a crazy wait . A good amount of ppl were there. So hopefully that gives you some idea of the scene. Also it’s not far from balboa park, so you can easily walk around or just chill there while you enjoy your coffee & food. Anyways definitely a cool spot to check out parking is available along the neighborhood streets .. (I believe some sides...
