I found this on the new openings (Resy) and saw it's high 4.9 rating amongst the few restaurants serving Roman-style pizza. We booked for 6:30 but were a little early into the city and hungry. I was nostalgic about eating here since this was a different pizza place about 20 years back when I lived off Fillmore. They accommodated us by turning a 2-seater table sideways. Compared to the photos in the other reviews I found our pinsa to be more thick-crusted throughout instead of the expected peaks and valleys. I secretly just wanted to have more thin-crusted crackle at the edges. The prosciutto & stracciatella pizza was disappointing in that there wasn't much stracciatella on it and too much balsamic vinegar. (3 stars) The pork cheeks pizza was delicious in flavor but the crust way too puffy. (4 stars) We ordered the pinsa balls for dessert and couldn't choose between the pistachio cream or nutella. I recommend pistachio. (4 stars) The tiramisu was a gift to us. We were quick eaters leaving within an hour so hopefully that gave them extra capacity for other diners. Ambience = 4 (small, clean & bright), Service = 4 (only because we could have sat at a bigger table) Value for $ = 4 Note: many people tried to pop in to get a table without a reservation and opted for the bar seating or left to return...

This is the second time I’ve been to Pinsa Rossa the first time as an Italian/Sicilian and former New Yorker with discerning taste for great pizza. Pinza Rossa makes a great Roman style pizza dough which is part rice flower and semolina which creates a much lighter crunchy pizza dough this dough goes back to the days of the Roman Empire and venders would make this pizza outside the colosseum when the gladiators performed.

It’s different then the Neapolitan pizza’s everyone else makes and it’s not heavy like the Sicilian square pizza you might have had.

The chef Leo is Sicilian, and the owner Ken is a successful restauranteur a great upgrade to Dino’s after 30 years in the neighborhood.

The pizza is a terrific a blend of fresh ingredients and wonderful crust that is memorable experience.

My first experience was so good I recommended a group of 15 friends from Peets in the neighborhood that get together to celebrate from time to time.

Everyone had a great experience.

You should enjoy the experience too.

I highly recommend if you love...

I had the absolute pleasure of being served by Fifa during my visit, and they truly elevated the entire dining experience. From the moment we sat down, they were warm, welcoming, and attentive without ever being intrusive. They knew the menu inside and out, made excellent recommendations, and even anticipated what we needed before we asked.

What stood out most was their genuine kindness and professionalism—every interaction felt sincere, and they created a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Our drinks were always full, our food came out exactly as ordered, and small details were never overlooked.

It’s rare to find someone who combines efficiency, knowledge, and such a positive attitude. Fifa is a true asset to the restaurant, and I’ll definitely be coming back not just for the food, but for the...

I have tried all the Roman Pinsa in San Francisco and this is the best of them all. Hands down. No disputing this because it is a simple fact. I know what I am talking about. I tried 100 Pizza Establishments in San Francisco since May 2022 alone. I have been to New York and Italy. And Chicago. I know what I am talking about here. Pinsa Rossa is the best Roma Pinsa in San Francisco after trying them all. Second place would likely be Ristobar or Roma Antica. Pinsa Rossa is the best though. Not up for discussion or debate. If you want the actual best Roman Pinsa in San Francisco this is it. Do not go to Gusto Pinsa Romana as that is an example of the worst Roman Pinsa in San Francisco. Got it?

went here for a quick happy hour + bite when we were roaming around Fillmore! The ambiance is cute and the wines were yum!! loved the prosecco!! the vegan pizza is kind of bland (like needed hella seasoning lol + sauce maybe?) still a decent happy hour and would go again! hopefully can make the vegan options a bit better 4 months later: the vegan options here = awful lol. the mushroom one was super dry (i did get it without cheese). they had a vegan pinsa THAT THEY GOT RID OF (had it last time i was here 4 months ago). happy hour is $9 for the mini pinsas or wine or like some of their bar bites. the brussel sprouts were the star of the show lol. also slow service
