$14.25 for a Pollo Burrito Especial- no chips, no drink, and diner's remorse. The burrito was underwhelmingly thin and felt light in the hands- not a good first start for this 1 hour SF minimum wage burrito. As I bit into it, trying to get over the fact this burrito felt like it was on a "low-ingredient" diet I was hoping my mouths reaction would relay the message that yes, this burrito is truly worth relinquishing 3 of my Lincoln notes. But alas, my suspicious had been brutally confirmed by the taste of diseccellence. The chicken? Dry. The fillers? Too much. The Especial? There was some spread throughout but mainly concentrated to one side and even at that the over all volume is deeply lacking.
Rarely do I take the time to write these thorough reviews, but sometimes a product is so poor in so many aspects leaving honest feedback feels like therapy. Overall I do not recommend this restuarant to any one who is hungry, or will be buying this for anyone else who is hungry. Even in a pinch, the area has many other restaurants to chose from, don't get catfished into thinking the Menu boards with no prices and the modern decor with get you anything more than a run of the mill taco truck, and Im not talking about Off-the-Grid. They are amazing,...
Read moreOver priced mediocre Mexican food. They charge extra for everything you can think of, even chips & salsa (which they offer every time but don’t tell you it’s not free). To add less than half a scoop of beans to a single taco it costs more than half the price of the taco itself ($3.50)!. So many better Mexican spots in San Francisco. Don’t waste your time avoid if you can. Workers are nice that’s the only reason I originally gave more than 1 star. But now that the owner has chosen to give me a rude response, telling me to buy Doritos, this place seriously doesn’t even deserve 2 stars. Disgusting & should be ashamed of yourself speaking that way to people who spend their hard earned money at your shameful...
Read moreVery special gem of a restaurant!!!! Went to this Taco Bar because we were staying at the local Kimpton hotel in Japan town. Quick walk from the hotel. Such a great restaurant. Food was great. We had the Baja cod fish taco and the Chicken taco. Both were delicious. Lime Margarita pitcher they recommended was great. By far, the best thing about this restaurant is the service. The owner greeted us personally and treated us like family. He arranged tables for us outside by himself and made us feel at home. Servers and staff were very attentive and repeatedly stopped by the table to make sure our needs were met. Highly recommend this restaurant. You...
