I went to Lela's for breakfast and this was my experience: when we arrived nobody greeted us nor seat us, we had to ask the barista if we could be seated. We waited for 15 min and our server did not brought us the menus. I asked the barista again and he left his station, brought us the menus and started taking our order. Our server Luna was too busy, Luna was helpful but she had about 7 tables to take care of and it's definitely not her fault that she couldn't attend to us when we arrived. I ordered a coffee from the barista, it was perfectly executed and the only good thing about the place. We ordered a Grapefruit juice but, $6 for a 10 ounces of juice? I also ordered two Salmon Eggs Benedict's, the kitchen got confused and sent us the wrong order, one Salmon and one Ham Benedict, Luna very kindly offered to change my plate, not wanting to stress the waiter more than she already was I declined the offer; Big mistake, the poched eggs on the Ham Benedict's were undercooked with runny whites and some of the potatoes wedges tasted like if they were reheated, not fresh at all. In the Salmon Benedict's the poched eggs were overcooked more like boiled eggs and the smoked salmon was sort of cooked. The doors to the kitchen were open so you could clearly hear everything that was going on in the kitchen out loud like the pots and pans, the employees, etc. At some point the manager came outside and started talking to the baristas in a loud voice, in front of the clients, telling them not to use some small stainless steel creamers because of what they cost, even mentioning the price, and that they were for the kitchen entrees; it could have been more professional if he had call their associates to the back and talk to them in private were nobody could here him. I can keep on going but I will not. I'm not coming again, thanks...
Read moreOur visit to Lela’s Eatery was a delightful way to start the day. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm, friendly atmosphere and attentive service that made us feel right at home. The place had a relaxed vibe with a cozy and inviting setup—perfect for a weekend breakfast or brunch outing.
I ordered the waffle with chicken wings, and I was seriously impressed. The waffle was golden brown, crisp on the outside, and soft and fluffy on the inside—exactly how I like it. It paired perfectly with the chicken wings, which were well-seasoned, juicy, and fried to perfection. The combination of sweet and savory hit all the right notes. The portion size was generous too, so I definitely felt like I got my money’s worth.
My wife went with the strawberry cheesecake pancakes, and let me tell you—they were next-level. The pancakes were light and fluffy, topped with a sweet strawberry glaze and a creamy cheesecake drizzle that made every bite taste like dessert. It was indulgent in the best way. She also had a side of bacon, which was cooked just right—crispy without being overdone—and a hot cup of coffee that she really enjoyed. It was smooth, flavorful, and strong enough to wake you up without being bitter.
The staff at Lela’s were friendly and checked on us just enough without being overbearing. Our food came out hot and fresh in a reasonable amount of time, even though the place was fairly busy. It’s clear the kitchen and service team work well together to keep things running smoothly.
