Time and date of Incident:10/17/2015, around 1:45-2:00pm
I went to the Starbucks on Sandy, UT with four of my friends and ordered an iced venti green tea soy latte. Upon receipt of my drink, I noticed that they made a wrong order and I notified the lady, a caucasian female with blond hair and slim in stature, about the error. She then very rudely pointed me towards the direction of the cashier and said that I need to talk to the lady who put in my order because she placed the order wrong. I told her that she was very rude but she rolled her eyes at me. The cashier, who turned out to be the manager, then put in the right order for me. When my order was done, the caucasian lady who made my first drink, then slammed my drink on the counter. That was the last straw and I had to walk away from the store because I felt like I was about to explode and I didn't want to make a scene. One of my friends, who was at the time waiting for her own drink, approached the manager and explained to her what happened. Instead of trying to appease us, the manager then defended the lady who made my drink and said, "well, she did make your drink, right?" and the lady who made my drink just rolled her eyes and smirked. I have worked in the restaurant/hospitality industry for eight years, and I know for a fact that that is not how you treat your paying customers. The incident shows a lack of customer service training and poor selection of team members. I have been a Starbucks patron for the longest time and have been frequenting it across many countries, and never have I ever been treated so disrespectfully like that. This store just lost five customers and we will be...
Read moreThis locations drinks taste mediocre at best and whenever I try to request an added syrup flavor or different way to make a drink they always say they “are out” “that’s only seasonal” or “we can’t do that” when literally every other Starbucks location from Logan to here can accommodate those very simple requests. For example, I just ordered a hot chocolate with added peppermint syrup. I literally get this drink all year long, and just got it yesterday at a South Weber location. Their answer was “we can’t do that for you. Peppermint is only seasonal at Starbucks.” Which my reply to that was, “weird, you’re literally the only location that doesn’t carry peppermint as a flavor. I ordered it yesterday at another Starbucks and have ordered it quite often throughout the year at many other Starbucks with zero issues.” The guy just looked at me like a deer in headlights and didn’t even bother to offer any additional flavor options or anything. I feel like I have better luck with the Starbucks in Target down the street than I do at this location with any drink. Just confirmation to me that I need to continue doing business with Dutch Brothers instead, because at least they can accommodate literally any request, have way better tasting drinks and menu options, not to mention at a better price point with a better rewards system. And let’s not even get started with...
Read moreLet me just start by saying I love Starbucks.
However, today at this location, I have had experienced some of the worst customer service ever. And here is why: Waited for about 20 minutes in drive through line; After long and unreasonable, unapologetic wait time we finally got our drinks. No eye contact; no welcoming; we were completely ignored at the window like we did not even exist. At the end, and this is actually reason why am writing this complaint, I got my drink but not made by my specifications ( and they were super easy and simple, to add extra caramel ). And this is not all. The cup was entirely sticky from the caramel and the coffee/milk liquid was dripping from all over the place... this is crazy... WOW!!! and I am supposed to enjoy my drink now while driving. You figure out.
Now on positive side ( I am being sarcastic now ) I was handed bunch of napkins to clean my cup which I did but it took me several minutes to this plus I had do make additional stop to wash my sticky hands so I could finally continue with my usual routine.
All in all, horrible experience for which I had to pay roughly 6 dollars for my drink and at the end not to enjoy it. Not only that I waited 20 minutes to get my drink and then later on I spent almost 10 minutes (with additional stop to wash my hands) cleaning their mess. Horrible, horrible,...
