Read the reviews about how this place was racist and didnāt want to believe it . The experience wasnāt terrible but the restaurant is cold blowing cold air . Food got to me straight out the freezer type cold . We didnāt have a specific waitress but the one we had i only seen her 2x . First to take our order and second time to get the bill . After we finished eating we waiting at least 10min for her to come . I told my wife that i bet the waitress will come when she sees us packing up and thatās exactly what happened . In fact she approached us the moment we stood up and waited for us to finish . When i went to pay she had the tip selection pulled up and i chose NO TIP because she didnāt do anything a waitress shouldāve done to deserve a tip. She didnāt bring out our food or do anything but take our order and stand by for a tip . I asked for a print out of the receipt and the waitress had the nerve to say āTips are appreciatedā and walked off . I walked up to the counter and asked for the receipt and she says with an attitude , āthe one i gave you is the receipt because there was no tipā Iām not one to create a potential scene all because some begging ahh waitress wanna beg and be upset about her not receiving a tip for barely doing her job . I never got my receipt but iāll be watching my account . Canāt say for sure it was racism but there is clearly some...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery rarely do you find a Mexican restaurant that caters to vegans and vegetarians so when I came across Tequila's Town Mexican Restaurant on Google Maps I was a bit surprised yet very intrigued. Needless to say, my expectations were far exceeded at this particular restaurant. Not only did they accommodate me as a vegan, but I felt quite welcomed from the start, and notifying the staff that I was vegan was nothing short of a breeze, metaphorically speaking. The manager greeted my table and provided us with all the information we needed about their vegan dishes or dishes that could be made vegan. As for the food, it was phenomenal. Our dishes arrived fast but still gave us time to settle in and enjoy some chips and salsa beforehand just as things should operate in any restaurant. The place was clean, the service was top-notch, everything seemed to run quite smoothly in an orderly fashion. The overall vibe was inclusive and complemented the experience. If I could give more than five stars I would. This is how a Mexican restaurant should operate. Other restaurants should take notes!
TLDR; Excellent place. The food was phenomenal. Service was top-notch. The manager was welcoming and informative. The experience was sublime. 10/10 would recommend to everyone...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe went to Savannah yesterday for St. PATRICK'S DAY and decided to go eat here. There were 9 people in our group. We informed the guy at the door that we would split into 2 groups of 4 and 5. He told us it was a 2 hour wait. There was about 4 people in line. We quickly moved to next in line. As we were waiting a group of 3 WHITE people walked up and asked how long was the wait. The same guy told them to go inside and put there names on the list. The White guy came outside and told his 2 friends to come inside and that they could be seated now. I quickly, noticed this and said wth? I asked the doormen who told us 2 hours, why are they being seated BEFORE US. Long story cut he had no answer. The manager or owner came outside, the security came out and it went from bad to worse. THE RACISM WAS OBVIOUS. They didn't want a GROUP of 9 Black people there. A few Blacl ppl that were with other white ppl were ok. But NOT a large group. We decided to NOT GIVE THEM OUR MONEY AND WE LEFT. This is a picture of the racist door keeper. We have to STOP forcing these types of places to take our money. They need to be shut down. Like Kanye said, at this point it's acceptance. They couldn't even put their racist ways aside for...
