I've lived in savannah,GA my whole life, born and raised. I used to live across the street from here for about 2 years. This whole time I never knew about this place. I saw it on line. My cousin said they were good. So did the reviews. My mom worked for the city on Habersham st for 28 years. I asked her about this place. She said they used to be good. Nobody goes there anymore. So I said all that to say this. I won't be back. I won't recommend. I liked nothing about the experience. The look of the place. The kitchen. THE FOOD. I could have cooked the slab of ribs I had in my freezer for that. I feel like I wasted 10 dollars. To be honest I don't want to waste the food but I don't even want to give it to my dog. For a first experience, it wasn't good. They were filming a show for food network which further let's me know don't believe what food network says about restaurants around the country. I wonder did the crew try the food? I ordered a rib snack, Mac and cheese and potato salad. What I got was a few pieces of chopped up ribs. The blandest potato salad and bareable mac and cheese. I would think a place that has been around this long would do better. But if judging by the lies...excuse me reviews online. I can't in good conscience only tell my straight up opinion. I cant even give them one star. That would be a big white lie. U get can better bbq from Carey hillard or Barnes or papas...just a few places for those who don't know any better. Hopefully this review will help Walls to be better. But one thing I know I will stand on the outside of this wall and not go back....

Could not have been more delighted to have found this hidden gem. When we arrived my wife almost decided to leave this "hole in the wall" but we were so delighted that we stayed! Given that this place cooks everything for scratch fresh daily but only enough for 1 day (even prepare their own bbq sauce) and we had arrived an hour before closing most items were sold out, but we got to try their delicious and tender pork ribs and fried flounder fish. The ribs were falling off of the bone and just cooked so tasty and the fish was very lightly battered, both were served with very generous portions. For sides we tried the mac and cheese, candied yams, potato salad and black-eyed peas and delicious hot corn bread. We followed our dinner with a slice of apple bread pudding. I highly recommend anyone to check out this place, it can be hard to find since it is located in an alley, but once that food comes you will be delighted. Also, the service was great and the owners are so nice, while we were there it poured down with rain and they even offered to call their cousin to take us to our car. Southern hospitality at...
Read moreWhat a ridiculous treasure buried within the growing presence of restaurant chains! It was an adventure even finding this place. If you follow Google Maps, you'll think that it's leading you wrongly off the beaten path, but no, listen to the app; it will show you the way. If you've come from outside the South and you thirst for a taste of the REAL South, go to this place. The stripped down decor really spoke to me and l
The proof of it's authenticity is in the side dishes: okra stewed with tomatoes, black eyed peas; it don't get more real than that. Also, the corn bread was made with a responsibility. Unlike some carpet-bagger corn bread, it was made with only a hint of sweetness. Why do Yankees always pour on the sugar and call it authentic?
The BBQ sauce was a decent heavily vinegared sauce: good but nothing spectacular.
We didn't try a dessert. The selection was limited when...
