Ashford Tea Company — Restaurant in Savannah

My husband and I stumbled across this tea shop and couldn’t have been happier! The owner of this shop is a fantastic host. Truly felt like he was inviting us into his home. He gave history and insight on the various teas offered. The white tea we chose was delicious! The owner handmade this particular blend. My husband has been searching for 15 + years for a white tea flavor from his past to taste just like this blend. We couldn’t leave without buying a container of tea to go. Yes if you are wondering, his shop is full of signature blends that he has hand crafted. The tea shop is soothing with jazz records playing, the sent of tea, and the wide rage of local art pieces. If you are in the Savannah area we would highly recommend stopping by. It’s a great way to slow down from the fast pace of the city. You can also buy tea from his website. We had unfortunately missed out on more than half of our trip to Savannah due to an injury, and on our only day out we decided to stop by Ashford. It absolutely did not disappoint. The vibe is immaculate and Dwayne is incredibly knowledgeable about teas (and tisanes). We came in with low spirits and left inspired and content. That seems to be the kind of affect Dwayne has on people given the justified 5 star rating this is place has. I hope for nothing but booming success for this company as you continue forward on your journey, and may you help make this country more of a tea country. Honestly, this was THE highlight of Savannah for me!

We walked away with a tiramisu yerba mate, an acai white tea, and the signature rooibos gullah, all fantastic and on another level from even other loose teas I've had. Go and sit down and have a cup, I almost guarantee you'll get...

As a tea lover, this tea shop is an absolute dream! It’s a calm space, beautifully organized, and brilliantly provides the opportunity to smell the teas before buying. We got the chance to have a nice long chat with the owner who is friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about tea - the perfect combination. While we didn’t take advantage of it, he mentioned he could brew up a taster if there was a variety that we wanted to try before buying. The tea itself is some of the highest quality - specially blended, with varieties and flavor combinations that are amazing. The Pu’Erh Chai is remarkable and is a tea variety that I'd never come across before. We spent far too much in this shop with absolutely NO regrets! I'll definitely be order from them online until I can visit them...
