Title: Exceptional Chinese Cuisine Experience at E-Tang in Savannah, GA
Rating: ★★★★★
Review: I recently had the pleasure of dining at E-Tang in Savannah, GA, and I must say it was an unforgettable culinary experience. E-Tang truly stands out as the best Chinese restaurant I've ever encountered.
Upon entering the restaurant, I was immediately struck by its elegant and inviting ambiance. The warm and friendly staff greeted me with genuine smiles, making me feel instantly welcome. The attention to detail in the decor and the cozy seating arrangements added to the overall charm of the place.
Now, let's talk about the food - it was simply outstanding. E-Tang's menu offers a wide array of traditional and modern Chinese dishes, each prepared with utmost care and precision. The freshness of the ingredients was evident in every bite, and the flavors were incredibly well-balanced.
One standout dish was the Kung Pao Chicken, which had the perfect balance of heat and savory flavors. The tender chicken combined with the crunchy peanuts and vegetables created a delightful texture and taste sensation. Additionally, the General Tso's Tofu was a revelation for vegetarians like myself, with its crispy exterior and succulent tofu inside, coated in a tangy and slightly sweet sauce.
The presentation of each dish was impeccable, showcasing the chef's dedication to both taste and aesthetics. The portions were generous, ensuring a satisfying and fulfilling dining experience. The staff was also knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations based on our preferences.
To complement the meal, I indulged in some traditional Chinese tea, which was served with elegance and precision. The tea's subtle flavors and calming effect added an extra layer of enjoyment to the overall experience.
Overall, E-Tang exceeded my expectations in every aspect. The combination of exceptional food, attentive service, and inviting atmosphere makes it a standout Chinese restaurant in Savannah, GA. Whether you're a local or a visitor, I highly recommend E-Tang for an unforgettable dining experience. It truly deserves its reputation as the best Chinese...
Read moreI would like to be fair about this review. I’m really not happy because I made a reservation for 8:30pm and when I came to the restaurant, they basically told me the reservation does not work and ask me to wait in line as everyone else. It is not the first time I came to this restaurant. In the past visit, they asked everyone if they have a reservation. So we make a reservation on that day and wait at home instead of waiting at the restaurant. It’s not like we cut in line and never wait at all. Shouldn’t they take reservations more seriously?
Besides, both me and my husband did not feel well one day after I hade dinner at the place. I thought it could just be me or the spicy so I wanted to give it another shot. But after today, I would never came to the restaurant again. I guess they don’t care about customer service because usually people who came are just tourist and they probably would never visit in the future. I would suggest the management people learn about what hospitality is for restaurants industry. Otherwise, this would happen again and more and more people will leave one star review (if you do care about this).
Edit: I forgot to mention one thing. During our first visit in here, we asked for 2 spoons. They are disgusting and have left food on it. We should have taken a photo but we did not. You can probably imagine how there dish and bowls looks like before they were filled with food and serve to you. You may wonder why we still wanted to give it another chance. Our condo is very close to the place and it takes 1 min for us to walk to the restaurant. I guess I should have never given it the second chance.
At the beginning of this review, I said want to be fair. So all the above are the reality. My husband actually told me he felt like being treated differently because we are Chinese. I have never thought about this reason. Because we made reservation and they denied the reservation only for that day because all the waiting people at the time are not Asians. But, to be fair, this is only an assumption and I don’t want to be too...
Read moreWe ordered for pick up on Christmas with an estimate wait time of 25 minutes. When we arrived, they had us pay after waiting 20 minutes yet we did not get our food for another 2 hours without updates on the delay. There was a long line of people and most of us waited over 2+ hours. The person responsible for getting takeout orders was incredibly inefficient. There were definitely many hard workers there taking care of the people dining in but unfortunately that takeout person tainted the experience. The food was not good, there was no sauce that we requested so it was dry and bland. It would’ve been nice if they updated us along the way, we understand things may be delayed on Christmas but I would not recommend getting take out here on any occasion.
Edit for clarity: I am in NO way upset that there was a wait on Christmas. The frustrating part is being told your order is ready in 25 minutes, and actually waiting for 2 plus hours without any updates. Those who politely asked for updates on their food got absolutely zero response from the person overseeing takeout orders. Even just a simple “the kitchen is backed it may take another 2 hours” would’ve been perfectly fine and I would’ve waited at home without any issues. Everyone waiting for takeout (including myself) was incredibly kind and gracious towards the staff and one another. Even folks who waited over 3 hours were very kind towards the staff. We saw multiple people eating in the restaurant who were demanding things from the kitchen (more plates, more spoons, more napkins, more lo mein) and who were extremely rude to the staff. That was not the case for anyone waiting for takeout. Please do NOT mistake this review for being “”angry about a wait on Christmas””. This review is simply regarding inefficiency, lack of communication, taste of the food and the order being incorrect after waiting for many hours. As mentioned previously, thank you to the staff members who were doing their job efficiently and working so hard...
