Came here excited because it was suggested on a travel blog. Worst decision, this is a questionable establishment. The food is not worth the money, we ordered all different meals as a large party of 6 and were only impressed with the simple meals burgers and Philly cheese steak. There “specialty” meals on the other hand need serious work, the taste is lacking and the food was cold. When we addressed the issue of one of the meals not being warm at all the “one in charge” (female) said there’s nothing I can do about that besides heat it up. When you bite into cold ground beef and cold hard vegetables, it doesn’t entice you to want to continue eating. Especially when the meat had multiple chunks of beef fat and was seasoned like taco meat. The shepherds pie made no sense at all and was by far the worst thing to order. The chicken pot pie was slimy and just tasted like someone dumped a can of soup in a bowl, the crust was doughy and a health hazard. We never received refills on our drinks, and in addition to it we also had the worst and most inconsiderate service from the woman working. We were polite when first mentioning the dissatisfaction with our meal and she immediately became argumentative and had a tantrum like a child with her body language , saying “well this will come out of my paycheck, if you don’t eat it I’ll have to pay for it how does that make you feel?” It makes me feel like we’re also people who have to work for our money and wasting it on a $20 meal for an establishment we gave the benefit of the doubt to just to be disrespected and attacked is not okay. There was no professionalism when she also argued with giving herself a $25 tip. Even the other employee voiced that it could be altered, when she was adamant on saying that amount had to be her tip. So either way we still over paid for the lack of food/ service we had. She shouldn’t have a nasty attitude towards customers when they’re honest about their experience when she ask “ how’s everything tasting” attacking the customer and making them uncomfortable is not how to get further business. The younger male was very attentive and tried to advocate with the woman to help us remove the meal we barely touched. Unbelievable that this is even considered a respectable eating establishment, when poor food and rude “management.” Would not recommend this...
Read moreUPDATE! It's not often that a restaurant gives an explanation as to why the service was bad. For the gentleman to explain what the issues were goes a long way with me so I'm changing my original rating. For the party that skipped out, shame on you. You will reap what you sow. Original comments as follows: We were there for the weekend and went to the tree lighting ceremony and decided to go eat here afterwards. I have never been there before so naturally I asked questions but the waitress was so dismissive. I get that they were busy but she and the guy with the mohawk and kilt were so rude. They were fighting with each other in front of the customers. Then he shouted that they were not going to take people who wanted to eat because of an apparent mix up with some checks. those that were waiting for a table looked as though they were confused. Anytime anyone walked in, he would shout, "Just sit anywhere that you could find boss and we'll get to you when we can!" I get that it was a busy night and probably shorthanded handed as the guy yelled at a customer saying that they were but maybe keep that to yourself or maybe say, " I'm sorry, we're shorthanded and will get to you as soon as possible" but yelling at each other makes for an uncomfortable atmosphere. Our waitress left off an item we ordered but we couldn't tell her because she never came back again although she did cater to the locals. I felt bad for anyone who asked a question because they got snapped at. Food was very good though. Very good! Oh, their website Says they take reservations, but they don't. They will accept it, but when we arrived the waitress said, " read the fine print" then walked away saying, ...
Read moreAre lunch there yesterday. I had the Ruben. The cornbread had good flavor but it wasn't cut correctly so it was very hard to eat. It was very tuff. If you don't cut cornedbeef correctly it can be extremely tuff and chewy. My daughter got the grilled chicken sandwich. Only half of her sandwich had chicken. Then they bring her out another sandwich and almost done eating the sandwich h the chicken tasted funny and sheooks and it's not cooked all the way thru. They made good on the sandwich by taking it off the bill. But your cook(s) need to make sure the chicken is cooked through before sending it out. I've read some of the comments and I have to say the business manager should take a course in educate. As well as learning about different food illnesses before you make comments. Food poisoning can hit with in hours of ingesting bad/spoiled or under cooked foods like chicken. I would suggest you invest in a food thermomonitor so this doesn't happen again. As well as teaching your cooks the proper way to slice cornedbeef. And before you tell me I don't know what I'm saying. I actually do my family had a restaurant for 20yrs. I know exactly what I'm talking about. Also you should never add a service charge to a check that has 4 adults and 3 children. Your server will be under tipped everytime. Our server was very pleasant but got screwed out of a decent tip because you decided a service charge should be added. That sir is very bad business. Service charges are added to tables...
