Edit I am changing my overall review of the location because even though the issue with the cake was valid, it was addressed so quickly and professionally by the owner. I can tell that you take pride in your work and ownership in what happens in your store. Thank you for taking this as a training opportunity, that gives me faith that either this was a one off situation, or that a procedure will be put in place to keep it from happening again. Thank you!
A couple of weeks ago I picked up an ice cream cake for a coworker's birthday. I had a dinner tonight and was in charge of bringing dessert so I went back for another cake. I could help but notice the same exact cakes from weeks prior were still in the case being sold. I asked the two girls working what the shelf life of these were or if they were rotated out at all.. their answer was no, they stay in the case until sold which could be a very long time. I'm not a dramatic person, but this cake was disgusting. I took a picture of the collection of dust on the top layer of frosting. We tried to scrape off the frosting and get to the ice cream inside of the cake but that was crumbled and dried out too. I would love to share the photos I took so that someone can see the impact that leaving cakes in the case forever has. Please let me know if you are interested in seeing for yourself. The girls on shift are always great and personable, and the fresh products you offer are great, but please consider updating your process to keep the cakes fresh,...
Read more9.2.25: First time at this location, which is located in the River Park Square mall on the 3rd floor next to the food court. Walking up to it, it looked pretty big. It had a couple long freezers of ice cream as well as a decorated case. The young guy who helped us was nice and gave good service.
I got a double scoop in a cup of Cherry Garcia and Berry Berry Extraordinary. Cherry Garcia is what you expect it to be if you're familiar with Ben & Jerry's and Berry Berry Extraordinary was new to me and had to try it. It was a pretty tasty sorbet. My friend got a strawberry limeade smoothie. He said all he tasted was tart and limeade. He didn't taste any strawberry, which I agree because I tasted it and it definitely lacked strawberries. The decorated case was full and looked pretty good, but we didn't get anything from it.
My 3 gripes are: 1) my double scoop looked like a junior scoop at best, 2) it was $16 bucks and it was a lack of value and quality regarding the smoothie, and 3) they had all the flavors you're familiar with but sorely lacked any fruity type offerings. Unfortunately I get a better value buying a pint at the grocery store that's cheaper and gives more...
Read moreThe scoop the server put on my 5 year old’s cone wasn’t even packed down into the cone, not one little bit. I noticed it as she went to take her first lick, ice cream falls off, luckily I catch it though. I’m standing in front of the server, holding the scoop of ice cream in my hand that she just put on, she doesn’t apologize, she doesn’t offer a new scoop, she says “I can get you a bowl if she can’t eat off the cone”. I don’t know if you remember being 5, but it’s ice cream, not rocket science. My 5 year old is perfectly capable of eating ice cream from a cone, and could probably scoop it better than the lady who is paid to do so.
Pathetic customer service, especially for the $6 I spent per single scoop of ice cream on a kids waffle cone. Will not return, ice cream is sub par and the staff tip the scales into full blown “don’t deserve my...
