This lounge could have been an amazing experience for my wife and I. I am giving it a 5 star review because the issues we had were technically not the fault of the establishment. This was our anniversary dinner, we dressed up, we took a limo. Things we don't do often or ever cause we work so much. The atmosphere was great. Perfect lighting, fake candles, gorgeous design. The drinks were really awesome and creative. The food for the most part was spot on. The prime rib was a bit of a disappointment and the horseradish had virtually no flavor to it. But my wife's tenderloin was really good and all the appetizers were fantastic. The only downfall was the noise caused by the other patrons. When we arrived it was extremely loud towards the entrance. So we went to the other side where it wasn't. That lasted for probably 4 minutes when another group of guys came in who seemed to feel that people on the hotel needed to be awake if they were sleeping. Now we didn't say anything. But I do feel that if you are going to a higher end establishment, you shouldn't treat it like a sports bar or a party bar like the group was towards the entrance. Sadly, we probably won't visit again due to us being more mild tempered and prefer quiet establishments. I do feel the staff should have heard the obscene noise levels and might have asked others to watch their volume. But we shall continue our search for a nice quieter fine dining establishment. We thought about moving over to the actual restaurant and regret not. But we originally choose not to because we didn't care for the...
Read moreWas planning to eat at the Palm Court Grill in the Davenport Hotel for Easter, but discovered both restaurants (Palm Court Grill and Peacock Room Lounge) have the same menu and use the same kitchen so decided to order dinner at the lounge rather than wait for the Palm Court Grill to open.
Atmosphere great! Happy hour a good deal!! I realized the bartender was busy, but he showed indifference to waiting on us. He didn't offer his name and he wore no name tag. Never said hello, goodbye, and did not ask how was the meal was or thanked me for coming in!
Food was my major complaint - very weak excuse for a prime rib, the cut was very small despite ordering the largest cut they had at a whooping $40.00 price tag! Ordered it medium rare but came out medium. The fried calamari my wife ordered was rubbery and old tasting. Had the bartender asked he may have found out that I thought the meal was mediocre. He didn't seem to care and I was too frustrated to make a scene and just paid the bill and left!
Cooks need to go back to school! Bartender needs training on how to wait on a customer and ensure the customer is happy with the meal. Pick better meat (the cut was suppose to be Prime - it wasn't). Should have eaten at the Palm Court Grill, but the food problem would have...
Read moreStepping into the Peacock Room Lounge is like traveling back to the Jazz Age—its stunning 5,000‑piece stained‑glass ceiling immediately sets the stage for a truly memorable evening . Whether you're here for a pre-show tipple or a late-night unwind, the atmosphere is undeniably vibrant and welcoming. Sophisticated travelers mix effortlessly with friendly locals, and the open‑seating format fosters a warm, sociable vibe .
Cocktails here are a highlight, the award‑winning double martini is a must-try, but the creative signature options (like the Peacock Room’s namesake mix) stand out as well . The wine list is equally impressive, boasting thoughtful selections that pair beautifully with appetizers like the Cougar Gold cheese dip and the Prime Rib French Dip sandwich .
Service is consistently professional and attentive, and the historic Davenport Hotel setting adds a layer of elegance without feeling stuffy . It can get lively around happy hour and weekends, so I recommend arriving early to secure a great seat beneath that gorgeous ceiling. All in all, the Peacock Room Lounge is a top-tier spot in downtown Spokane for cocktails, conversation, and that unmistakable vintage flair. Highly...
