UPDATE TO PREVIOUS REVIEW
McAlisters needs to revoke their franchise agreement with this store. It is horrible. After my last 1 star review I reluctantly went back because of how much I really do like McAlisters Deli. After ordering my meal I sat down with tea that tasted like it was straight sugar. Then my sandwich comes out completely wrong. Like in wrong order wrong. I ordered a McAlisters Club with no mayo and they brought out a Black Angus Club. To fix it they literally wiped off the horseradish and Mayo then took the toppings that weren’t supposed to be on it and added some turkey. Like why would anyone in their right mind reuse bread?!?
I have been eating at McAlister’s for at least 12 years (grew up in Missouri) and I absolutely LOVE the restaurant so I hate to write this review but this McAlister’s isn’t holding up to the quality I have come to expect.
Ingredient wise it tastes great but I’m not sure if they are overextended because its a “newer” store or what but they are skimping on the meat on the sandwiches. What I am accustomed to is not what I get here. The last few times I came I could barely see the meat on my sandwich. Also the staff doesn’t seem as attentive to the customers. I have been overcharged multiple times where the manager had to refund part of the charge.
Slowly I have been coming here less and less which is a shame because I was here opening day super excited to have a McAlisters so close to my house. I’m even changing a previously 5 star review to this 1 star review.
I truly hope the management takes this review seriously and considers...
Read moreSeveral people told me how good this place was, gave it a try and WOW it was Amazing! Definitely will be going back! I had the “big nasty” which was enormous and delicious! The chicken tortilla soup was so perfect! Their ice tea & lemonade was great also, service was super fast only took 5 minutes to get my food.
*UPDATE been here many times since my first review, and I still don't know HOW the older lady with grey hair & glasses messes up a half & half, meaning half lemonade and half iced tea. Two times already she put too much iced tea about 80% and 20% lemonade, the last time I went it was unsweetened iced tea when I told her two times SWEET Iced Tea & Half Lemonade....a half & half lol. I literally don't understand HOW you can screw up half sweet tea, half lemonade? It's mind boggling. Hire a younger person that knows what they are doing please, as this older lady clearly needs help and is often confused while even ringing up an order. Won't be back for a long time, Chompie's...
Read moreLet me start by saving I absolutely love McAlister's. I'm originally from Illinois where there are several near my hometown and where I went to college, so I've been a ton and have tried many of the items. I was thrilled when one came to Tempe. But this location seems off to me. The tea is still amazing and the service has always been great, but sometimes the food hasn't seemed right. Twice I ordered a sandwich and it came with ingredients not specified on the menu - and they happen to be ones I can't stand so I didn't like the food. Once the cheddar soup was way too thick and goopey and once a sandwich didn't come with an ingredient. Maybe they are still working out their kinks. I guess the point of my review is that hopefully the restaurant notices and it can help with their kinks. Plus if anyone goes and is underwhelmed, to not discount them completely (McAlister's really does have some delicious food), so it might be a...
