I really like Panda Express, generally, and have eaten at many of them all over the metroplex for many years. However, the new The Colony location was far and away, without a doubt, the absolute worst one I have ever been to. I arrived with my daughter at about 6:10 pm on a Sunday night. Despite what you would imagine would be a busy time (dinner time), probably 1/3 of the entrees were either empty, or very close to empty. A few of the others that were not empty, looked as if they hadn't been stirred in a long time and had just been sitting there. Both entrees I wanted were empty, Orange Chicken, and Kung Pow Chicken. We waited at least 15 minutes for both dishes to be cooked. The portions were a healthy size. Once we got our food, we went to get our drinks. The area was dirty and there were no napkins anywhere. I went back to the line and waited another 5 minutes to ask for napkins and another 5 minutes while a person checked out front in the cabinets, under the drink machine and discovered there were no more napkins there, while she asked another person to go look for some in the back. When she returned she had enough for maybe 3 customers. She gave us 3 or 4 and put the rest of the small handful in the dispenser. No fortune cookies were offered. Two of the three trash cans were literally overflowing. The men's room had urine on the toilet and floor, and there were paper towels on the floor as well. Surprisingly, the very young staff was very friendly... just terribly inefficient. There were probably 8 people working there that night. I don't think there was a manager on duty. The average age of the people working there seemed to be about 18 years old. I hope they can get their act together, because I like the food, but they don't seem to have any guidance at this particular location. They also forgot to give my daughter a cookie, which was supposed to come with...
Read moreMoving out to this area from uptown dallas. Lovers & Greenville location never did us wrong. 2 months down the line trying out this location. Had a new item for 1.50 Upcharge (Black pepper steak) bet, specifically left off the orange chicken from my order. Had the sweet fire and sesame on my bigger. Not to mention straight up tired of the orange chicken (frequenting panda for the last 10~ years)
Husband did order one portion of orange for his bigger.
He goes to pick up the order (drive thru) handed off no problem. Condiments, cutlery, and the order neatly tied up.
Brings it home and we open the first box. Appetizers we ordered. Wow we thought, what great customer service or maybe an accident. There was a 2x portion for the spring rolls & rangoons. Close to closing we thought must have had extra.
Proceed to the entrees. All the stickers are labeled correctly. Upon opening though…….
It was a total of 5 out 6 entrees on our 2 bigger plate.
ALL are orange chicken. With the one exception of the kungpao… great.
All three of my entrees are not included in addition to paying an upcharge for one.
Being in the industry i realized that instead of dealing with the problem.. they faked it and hoped it would slide under the rug.
No way on earth they doubled the apps. And didn’t include 4 entrees, especially when one was an upcharge. And didn’t refund The difference. Knowingly & that being said.. staff is incompetent or lazy…
Either way. Will be following up with this tomorrow, at the location and Panda...
Read moreThis was my third and finale stop at this Panda Express. Customer service every time was below the mark. My experience on Saturday, March 18, 2023 around 7:45 at the drive thru service was so low that I had to post. My phone was taken in the restaurant to pay via Apple Pay because they can’t extend it out the window (come in to 2023, please). My meal was then thrown out the window no “thank you”, “come back” or anything. This is where it really went down hill. No receipt was given so I wasn’t sure our transaction was done so I waited. After minutes went by she returned to the window with an attitude. I asked for my receipt. She looked around and said “here”. Here attitude is what made me ask about the sign on the window. She stated “you have your receipt” I I responded “after I asked for it. Please escalate this to the manager.” 1) there is a sign on the window that says if you don’t get a receipt or the receipt is wrong the meal is on us. 2) I didn’t get a receipt. I looked for the receipt because I collect receipts for fetch. When she came back to the window show handed me cash back which was wrong amount than what she charged me. So I’m sure her drawer was off for the night. However, it wasn’t worth the fight. Customer service is a major key to where I spend my money. It will not be at this Panda...
