Kokee Tea — Restaurant in The Woodlands

Firstly I want to write I am a bubble tea fanatic and have high expectation on bubble teas and unfortunately this one does not make the cut of bubble teas that I would franchise (and there are a couple of bubble teas that are gonna be opening up in the area that are going to be fierce competition--one of them will be Sharetea which is a very good franchise bubble tea).

Sadly, the menu here is quite small and nothing screaming uniqueness and also it's very weak (its not authentic either). I see others putting 2 toppings to get the flavor which is 50 cents extra making that tea almost a price of meal. I get it. It's good quality tea but still it's nothing going on. I can get good quality tea elsewhere for better price. The mango passionfruit drink I had was just water and a bit of passionfruit. The only mango I taste was from the jelly. It was pretty much disappointing and more disappointing when I see both owner and GM there making it which does not give me high hope for this place.

I wish them luck. They are gonna need it especially when others open up...

If I could post a 0 I would. Awful. Absolutely awful. Yesterday, I went here with my sister. My sister ordered a Thai tea. She takes a sip and was disgusted, then she smelled it. The milk was spoiled.

I go to the register and tell them this. They reluctantly said they will remake it, but they do not believe that the milk is spoiled. I watched as they drained the drink in order to reuse the boba. I pointed out it out that they should use a new cup and boba (for sanitary reasons). They were not happy. They go an pretend to get a new cup with boba. They did not realize that I could see that at some point, they reswapped the cups, so they were using the old cup and boba again. I was disgusted.

Then they make it again. Surpise, they did not even seal it, so it spilled everywhere. We realized that it suddenly smelled horrible again. We looked at the milk and it was chunky. They had used the same spoiled milk. We left mad and disgusted that they were using the same milk for everyone. I can't imagine how many people got served rotten milk...

This one is just not it.

I love bubble tea & I always aim to try a few new locations each week. However, this one was challenging to enjoy. I went with the Mango Passionfruit which is one that was mentioned as a best seller.

The tea flavor was underwhelming. I tend to get mine half sweet but it was lacking an overall tea flavor. It was overloaded with ice which most likely didn't help as it was fast melting.

The Boba that was added was honey Boba which is okay but doesn't really mesh with that type of drink. Regardless, I took the recommendation & went with it. The boba tasted old. It had a foul flavor so once I got home, I tried to remove it.

I put the tea in the fridge hoping I could revisit it but once I tried it again, it was just disgusting so I ended dumping it.

For $6.49 before tax, there's just better & cheaper bubble tea shops out there & nearby. I hope it was just a one off but enough where I'll just...
