Giuseppe's pizza literally saved my life! We came up to Lake George on the third week of October for vacation. This is our first time and apparently everything completely shuts down or at least operates until about 8 after Labor Day. We were in our hotel room with two hungry kids who slept through dinner and since our hotel also does not serve food on the off-season (not even pre wrapped sandwiches or something small) we were looking for other options. After searching Uber eats delivery options (there were 2-both closed) we found a late-night McDonalds. Perfect! Nope... when we got there there was a note on the drive-thru said that they closed hours early due to staffing issues (so tired if this excuse, but whatever) so as I was preparing my kids for the drive back to the hotel that they were going to have a cup of popcorn and we would get a big breakfast in the morning, we saw a Bright Shining Light right in the heart of Canada Street! I don't know we could have missed it in the first place because it was the only light in a very dead town. I would much rather fill our bellies with nice hot pizza and it was Open! I couldn't believe my eyes. I went in and got six hot and delicious slices to go and they even gave us plates :) despite the late hour the staff was welcoming and very friendly. I spoke to the girl behind the counter, who was lovely, and she said they are open all year round. I am so thankful that we found them and that they understand that people have to eat on the offseason, even if it is really late. Thank you, thank you Giuseppe's for your delicious hot pizza for me and my family. When we come up again to visit we will be back to try...
Read moreCame in with a family of 8. A bit later a party of about 16 came in. They placed their order some time after we all placed ours. I ordered a calzone. The food for the bigger party started getting theirs way before us. I noticed one of them ordered a calzone also. Which I was still waiting on mine. Eventually (and I meant A LONG TIME LATER), we finally got ours. My calzone was wrong. I ordered mine with pepperoni and mushrooms. It was just cheese. I told our server it was wrong. No biggie. He took it back. A minute later I noticed the server from the other party went to the individual and told him they gave him the wrong one and took it back. Not 2 minutes later our server brought me "my correct one", telling me it was just made fresh. Ummm not in 2 minutes it's not. The cheese was already cooled down and the whole inside was cooled down. It was visually obvious that it was manhandled. They gave me the calzone from the other table and tried to pass it off as fresh made. I returned it and told him to remove it from the bill. Which he did without hesitation. Obviously he knew he was caught. Needles to say I had lost my appetite. The rest of the family ate without issues. I come to lake George every year for my anniversary. I was married there. Absolutely love the town. The actions of this restaurant was repulsive and not to mention ILLEGAL. They should absolutely be ashamed of themselves. When I return next year, I absolutely will not be...
Read moreVisited recently for the first time and it won’t be our last. Everything was perfect. We had a beautiful night weather wise and after a nominal wait (20 minutes as quoted) on a busy summer night. We were lucky to get seated outside on a nice porch type of area. You are seated just a little higher than the sidewalk with a railing all around. So while you’re right in the middle of all the action, you can watch the world go by but you are not stuck on the actual sidewalk where everyone can stare down at you and your fare. The entire staff we encountered were all so sweet and polite as well as engaging. From the hostesses to our waitress, everyone was so delightful and engaging. This is a pizza restaurant so when in Rome… The large is very large so at our waitresses suggestion we (4 adults) split a large cheese. It is probably best described as NY style with a very large crust. It was cooked exactly as we asked; “Crispy”. It was delicious. We also had some naked wings which were equally as good. The ladies split a Caesar salad and said they enjoyed it too. There is a very good selection of beers too. When on vacation I usually try a local brew and was not disappointed with my choice. Dessert was out of the question because we were all so full from a fulfilling meal. Giuseppe’s food is as good as it’s service and I highly recommend you try it if you are in Lake George...
