This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at BJ’s!!! Our family goes here traditionally for bdays. This one was a very special bday occasion. Our server MILES was terrible from start to finish! My appetizer came out with my meal. The frustrating part about this is MILES had attitude when I asked for appetizer. I stated to him I’d like the egg roll and asked will that come out first , he said you have to TELL ME YOU WANT IT OUT FIRST with this terrible attitude. So I say ok can it come out first. He clicked a button on his iPad and walked away. For them to come out with my meal!!! I asked for refill for my son he brought water no ice. My family member asked for a refill and he literally said Isn’t that your water there and walked away. He didn’t announce his name he didn’t engage with us at all. ( I know his name from the receipt) We never once disrespected him through out his service. I stated to my family I’ll talk to the manager at the end. Keep the celebration positive. So I get to the end we have all paid and I ask for manager. Now RYAN ( manager) is who came to the table. I explained to him my concern with my service and he wasn’t listening and did not care. He wrote me off before he even heard my concern. As I’m telling him about the experience there was never an apology and he didn’t acknowledge my true concern. He stated since I waited til the end of service so my concern wasn’t valid. He said I should have said something during service. I stated I’m not asking for Free meal. I’m asking you what are you going to do about this going forward. He just stares at me as if he didn’t care. At this point I’m growing upset . I say well look I don’t want to leave him any tip . Let’s reverse my meal and I’ll pay cash with no tip. He told me he will not do that! The meal is paid. I said I am not asking for free meal, I’m asking not to tip him and for you to understand my concern. I repeated your server was terrible. RYAN walks away to go get security. Mind you I’m in my seat. I’m not in his face and im not threatening anyone. Security and another waitress comes over. Im explaining to them why I’m upset and how my whole family was treated. RYAN AND MILES are behind them standing by the kiosk near the table we were at. I stated MILES WAS TRASH and Then here comes MILES. YELLING IM TRASH YOU ARE TRASH. HE STATED I WAITED TIL THE END TO SAY ANYTHING. I proceeded to til the waitress that I waited to share my concern at the end to avoid what just happened. To avoid being that table that just wants to complain. To make sure we pay for everything so they could see all we wanted to say is MILES was the worst waiter ever. Also MILES was never around to tell anything to, had to catch him in passing and still got no service. The waitress heard my concern she provided me with corporate information that I asked for when RYAN refused!! The waitress/ host was great she definitely deserves to be in RYAN position. RYAN AND MILES DON’T NEED TO BE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. WE WILL NEVER RETURN TO BJS! THE FOOD WASN'T GREAT AND TERRIBLE TERRIBLE...
Read moreIf I could give this restaurant a negative star review, I would. Upon arriving, around 6:30pm on Friday we checked in with the front desk to be told our wait would be a minimum of 5 minutes, as we just needed our waiter to seat us… 10-15 minutes later we are taken to our booth. An extra 10 minutes never killed anyone, so we quickly passed on judgment based on seating time. While at the table we were offered the option to order our drinks, and they arrived in a decent timely manner. Our waitress must have been having an off night, because she never smiled, didn’t seem to care about our questions concerning the menu choices, and when we seemed unsure of what to order due to her not answering our questions, she just up and left saying “I’ll just give you a few more minutes” and disappeared on us. She finally came back and we placed our orders. I had ordered the soup and salad, the others at the table ordered a large salad, chicken strips and fries, and a cheeseburger with fries and side salad. My salad arrived well before the rest of the table in such a hurry (literally she walked by and dropped it off and disappeared AGAIN) and we had no silverware at the table. The salad sat there as I waited for the rest of the table to be served. When the waitress arrived again with another server, they delivered the food to the table and we asked for our silverware, and she laughed it off “Oh yep, bet you need those!” and said she would be back. Maybe my sense of time awareness was off, because it seemed to take her forever and a day to come back and give us silverware. No apologies or sincerity was provided. This left the entire table annoyed. The food here is mediocre at best. The salads were sad and limp for the ridiculous cost they were, probably because we had to wait upwards of 10 minutes after they were served to eat them. The broccoli cheese soup was thick and congealed, it was disgusting and cold. The kids’ meals (burger and chicken strips) were fine, but they also both complained that the food was cold. Being my first, and trust me, my last visit to BJ’s… I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. First impressions leave a lasting one. This place and it’s seemingly snotty and uncaring serving staff need a refresher in politeness and customer service. Do better, BJ’s. I expect this kind of service from cheap and subpar restaurants,...
Read moreWe visited BJ’s around 5:00 PM on a Friday night with our teen grandkids after shopping for school clothes. Even though the restaurant was less than half full, there was still about a 10-minute wait to be seated. The atmosphere is lively and very sports-friendly with big-screen TVs all around. We were able to watch the Mariners vs. Guardians game while waiting, which was a nice touch.
Service – Our server was polite and brought drinks quickly, but refills had to be requested and the overall pace was slow. There was a noticeable wait for our food despite the restaurant not being busy. Dinner plates weren’t cleared until we stacked them up ourselves, which delayed ordering dessert.
Meals –
My wife and granddaughter decided to make a meal out of shared appetizers. They ordered boneless chicken wings with BBQ and buffalo sauce, which unfortunately were overcooked and dry. But the sampler platter was excellent — a giant pretzel with cheese sauce, mozzarella sticks with marinara, and tortilla chips with guacamole. That plate ended up being the highlight of their meal.
My grandson had the 5-Meat Deep Dish Pizza. It was loaded and flavorful, but arrived just warm instead of hot. It was served in the deep-dish pan with no spatula, so he had to dig out the first slice with a fork and knife before switching to his hands to get the rest.
I ordered the Jambalaya. It was generously filled with chicken, sausage, and shrimp over rice pilaf, and the flavor was very good. Still, it was also served only warm, not hot, which was a recurring issue.
Dessert – We shared the Baked S’mores Cookie with Vanilla Ice Cream, and it was outstanding — gooey, rich, and the perfect way to end the meal.
Value – With three sodas at $3.99 each, appetizers, entrées, and dessert, the bill came to about $110 before tip for four people. The portion sizes were solid, but the slow service and lukewarm entrées kept it from feeling like the best value.
Overall: BJ’s offers a fun sports-bar vibe and some standout items (especially the sampler platter and dessert), but slow service and food that arrived only warm brought the experience down. With more consistency and attention, this location could be...
