IJ Sushi Burrito — Restaurant in Tukwila

Normally when I come here, the people are very polite and I enjoy the food. Today was the first time I had an issue and it was over a serious food ALLERGY. I did not notice he put sesame seeds(which I am allergic to) on top of my rice in my poke bowl until I had taken a couple bites. I went back and mentioned I was allergic and asked if I can get a new bowl made. He told me because I already ate it, I couldn't get a refund or a new bowl. I told him I was ALLERGIC and did NOT ask for sesame seeds. I asked for the manager as well and he was saying I clearly saw him put them on (when I did not) and said I had already eaten it (implying that I was trying to cheat them for a freebie). I had taken TWO bites and had to dig down to the bottom to see all the sesame seeds that were mixed in already. I genuinely do not understand being so inconsiderate to a deadly allergy? The food is good ut the servers don't change their gloves which is nasty. They wipe the counter, take out trash, break up the rice, touch the payment terminal.... And make the food!!!! They do all these just using the same glove! All of the employees! They don't change their gloves to make food. Nasty! Disgusting!!!!!!! And it's sushi! You don't cook sushi so you have all those nasty germs! 🤮🤢 😭😭😭😭 We ate here at the food court on a Saturday around 7:30pm.

Please management, tell your employees to change their gloves when making food! Or require them to attend Food Handlers Training! If you handle food, you have to make sure your hands are clean, you wash your hands or you use NEW pair of gloves!!!!! 🤮

Overall experience was pretty bad... at first we asked if the salmon had onions in it.. the employee just looked at me blankly. I could tell she couldnt speak English well, which is okay... but I am allergic to onions, so I need to ask. Employees need to at least be able to answer that. Or at least have someone else there with her. Then when I asked for the spicy mayo sauce, she squirted out WAYYY TOO MUCH, I told her but she didn't seem to understand what I said. Anyways, if you want the crab salad, it's an extra $1.95, which is fine, it it tasted any decent. I've had sushi for years and years and the fish here is NOT fresh.
